Come on people get in the spirit of things.  Halloween should be a  fun day for all ages.  You can dress up as anything you want and go have fun.  Don't take things so seriously and have some enjoyment once in a while

i am sorry you feel this way about halloween. but in truth even though you feel it to be wicked and evil it wasnt always that way. halloween started out to be a day where you celebrated the dead for thier history and to remember them it started in mexico but we americans celebrate the same thing only on a different day memorial day. we are the ones who took the meaning and switched it to kids eating candy and dressing all scary.  :angel12:

I don't believe Halloween is a wicked and evil day. I believe that people make it evil and wicked when they go around making everyone else's day miserable when they go out and start throwing rotten eggs at people like they do here in New York. I believe Halloween is a fun day for the kids because it gives them a chance to dress up how ever they want to. It gives them a chance to be whoever or whatever they want for one whole day.

I hate Halloween as well.  If you study the history you will find the evilness.

What history?

I think Halloween is fun and that there's only evilness when an evil person is present. But if you have a pure heart and no evil/wicked thoughts on your mind then just enjoy the day.
Three things cannot be long hidden, the sun, the moon, and the truth.

I'm always confused by the mention of "evilness" regarding Halloween.  Specifics please!  The name Halloween came from "All Hallows (Saints) Eve" the day before "All Saints Day".  Also celebrated in earlier times as the original Celtic festival of Samhain which marked the end of the harvest.

Halloween is a day of evilness and wickedness. There is really nothing good about Hallween except children dressing up in their Halloween custunes.

Some people live outside of reality. With the few post I see here I agree that you can't be taken seriously. :BangHead:

I didn't find a single "evil" thing from reading that.

From that link:
"In the 4th century CE, Christianity imported the Saturnalia festival hoping to take the pagan masses in with it.  Christian leaders succeeded in converting to Christianity large numbers of pagans by promising them that they could continue to celebrate the Saturnalia as Christians.

The problem was that there was nothing intrinsically Christian about Saturnalia. To remedy this, these Christian leaders named Saturnalia’s concluding day, December 25th, to be Jesus’ birthday."

Seems the foundational concepts of 'xmyth' are much more "evil" than 'all hollows eve'.  Leave it to xtianity to whitewash their own cultural thefts with poor lies.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

Halloween is actually a Christian holiday, warped by pop culture & consumerism.
