Reading...

I love to read fantasy and non-fiction (as long as it's not politics)! What are your opinions on books? Do you think reading is dorky? Please respect the opinions of others 'cough cough mine cough cough'  ;D

I love to read! I can read just about anything from reality to fiction but my favorite reading material is mystery novels. Reading is a way to escape the day to day hazzles of reality. It gives your mind a chance to travel to distant places.

I love  :heart:to read.  The books I enjoy the most are mysteries.  My favority authors are  Michael Palmer, Tess Gerristan, Bentley Little, Dean Koontz and Robin Cook.  Although I like other books these are the ones I usually can't put down.

Why would you think “reading is dorky?” Reading a lot of books increases your vocabulary. Non-fiction books are the best! Fiction is okay too, but nothing beats non-fiction books.  :)

I love a good mystery.  I'm retired so I spend way too many hours a day reading when I should be doing something important like vacuuming or something like that Tee Hee

If more people read, this country would not be so lopsided economically and socially. The words "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing" are spot on. Rich people prey on those with little knowledge, so get your kids interested in those books!  ;D

I can't get enough of reading. I don't think it's dorky. There's a lot of great stuff in books, and there's something for everyone. I personally enjoy horror/suspense, fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, and mysteries the best. Though sometimes I'm in the mood for something else and just randomly pick what looks interesting.

I read every day and love it.  I have been a reader since I was a kid.  My favorites are mysteries.  After I get a grocery bag full of books, they go to my oldest daughter.  She goes to a park and ride and then takes the bus to work and gets to read on the bus.

I read to my kids and grandkids when they were little and got them interested in books.  I feel that if a child can read and gets interested in it, their eductions will become a lot easier.
