i have to fall a lseep with it being totally dark in the room my man falls a sleep with the tv on so i have to wait for him to fall asleep then i canl

I have to sleep with the TV on... It's not even for the noise because I turn it down.  I'm not afraid of the dark or anything, just have to have it on.

I cannot go to sleep with the tv, radio, or whatever as I am always too curious to see what is going on and I wouldn't go to sleep. I really do like it quiet though.

I hardly ever watch Television. I have to have it totally quite before I can fall asleep so I would never fall asleep with the t.v. on. Waste of energy to leave the t.v. on without watching it.

I am one that has to watch the television and then fall asleep with it watching me....I would then get up in the middle of the night and turn it off

I used to watch tv every night throughtout middle school and high school. Now I put on the tv about 25% of the time now but i usually knock out all the time now

tv on bit with the timer i can fall asleep wit it on but cant have it on when i wake up

My hubby and me will turn the TV off most nights, sometimes we leave it on and put it on one of the music channels with a timer on and fall sleep.  My husband has a bionic ear and he will wake up in the middle of the night turn the TV on volume down and watch a movie he says he can hear.  The light from the TV and noise does not bother me, I cannot sleep with the lamp on though.

My girls sleep with the TVs on, all night long and does not bother them, as a matter of fact they will wake up within 5 minutes of us turning it of after they fall sleep, turned back on and go right back to sleep.  My oldest daughter has problems with her boyfriend, he likes the dark she cannot sleep with the Tv off, they keep trying to get into some type of compromise (i think my daughter will win at the end)

I have to have complete silence to fall asleep. However I used to always have the tv on when I was sleeping when I lived in the city. The sound of it drowned out all of the other noise. Now that I live in a quiet suburb, I can do without it. Sometimes I lay awake at night if I hear animals outside. And sometimes my neighbor uses his wood saw in the middle of the night and it's really annoying and hard to fall asleep, but I still won't turn on the tv anymore.

No, that's a big waste of electricity. Plus its hard to sleep with a 46" LCD TV shining in your face.

I fall asleep with the tv on. If it is quiet then I can not sleep. My kids are the same way. They all have a tv in their rooms. Even my 18 month old cant fall asleep with out his spongebob on.  At 8pm we look at him and say wanna go spongebob?  He then runs into his room turns on the tv and waits for us to put him in the crib.

 Yes i do fall asleep with the tv on always do even when we have family movie night my husband & kids say well we know what moms gonna be doing in about 15mins she's gonna be asleep...LOL...

I have to have (no noise) to fall asleep. So Yes I have to have the TV off. I have a relative that has to have the TV on when he falls asleep, if you try to turn it off, he wakes up!!!
