Although I'm not nearly as educated/informed/well read in ANY areas of science as queenofnines is -
(& I'm not being a smart-a**, queenofnines, I read your posts somewhat in awe of how intelligent you seem to be! :o  ) -

Wow, thanks.  Thant's very sweet of you to say.  :)  I'm nowhere near as dedicated to these matters as I was when I first started using the forum, but it's nice to know that some people still take notice to what I say!

If you don't believe in a God, and I do...why does it bother you so much? Absence of evidence is not Evidence of absence...

Absence of Evidence is NOT Evidence of Absence...  ***crickets***

Quoting and arguing with yourself?  ***crickets***

LOL LOL LOL. Not arguing with anyone. Just felt like repeating myself... LOL LOL LOL.
All of this free entertainment :-) ...
There must be a GOD (who by the way has an excellent sense of humor) :angel11: ;D :angel11:

So you dont believe in God and I do. Different strokes I suppose.

I think that most of this thread is really about being  RELIGIOUS. .. which is differnt from beleiving in God, Allah (whatever name ) anyway.

Ah yes.  The classic non-argument: "Christianity isn't a religion, it's a RELATIONSHIP!!!"

Uh-huh.

Uh...you are aware that the sun does not literally go up or down, right?   :confused1:

I guess you are eluding to the fact that the earth revoles around the sun, which gives the appearence that the sun is what is moving.  people might say it is gods doing. but I still choose the CHUCK NORRIS explanation.

If there is no God and all the things that was said, who do you think made the Earth and put all these things here?  They just did not appear or put there by man or any human.  God created the Earth and YOU!

For starters I never said I was a Christian..you just assumed as much... Secondly...as in any other religion there are "traditionalist" , "not-traditionalists" etc etc. and the more "traditional" believers seem to be the ones who are usually more than a few crayola's short of a box (my opinion)
Lastly, not everyone who believes in God is a Christian..so is your beef with them as well? Or simply with those who believe in Christ?
Do you scorn Buddhists, Jewish, African Traditionalist etc. etc. the same?

Whatever works for you I guess. Seems like an awful lot of time wasted trying to convince people that what they believe is wrong...good luck with that...

Nope.  Just religions which are doing harm...and the front runners are Christianity and Islam.  (P.S.  Buddhists don't believe in god...fact check!)

When I'm choosing to be here to get paid to post, how exactly is it wasting my time?  lol

umm, CHUCK NORRIS could . the sun would hide in fear if he told it to..
I'll bet you that the omnipotent pink unicorn, with the grace of his glorious horn (the light of which will engulf you with love and glitter), would trump any fear instilled by CHUCK NORRIS.... :o
Oh, almighty and glorious glittery-horned unicorn  :notworthy:....I am not worthy.

;D (yep feeling just a little feisty and naughty this a.m.!)

That being said, now I'm going to go sit by my window(s) for 3 full days, and watch the sun carefully. I want to see for myself - DOES it go up & down, or not? (d'ya think I need a yardstick or tape measure to be able to tell for sure?)
......OR....???....maybe it goes somewhere else....perhaps "walkies" with the pink unicorn!  ::)

OK this   :angel11:  absolutely IS NOT a picture of the very naughty me!
