Turquoise is my favorite Easter Egg Color.  It's so vibrant.  Dying Easter Eggs is something both myself and all 3 of my kids still enjoy doing.  I hard boil a dozen.  My youngest has a hay day with them.  My older kids like to attempt to blow the yolks and whites out.  I think it's fun to participate and take pictures.  They always look so funny with there cheeks puffed out.  It seems all 3 of them like to use the white crayon wax trick too.

I color eggs with my kids. We use the color tablet and water. Plus we add stickers to them. The kids and I have a blast every year.

Dip about 60% of the egg one color, then rotate and dip the other 60% different color. The 10% overlapping area should be a kind of gradient. :D

Coloring Easter eggs with the gradient colors sounds like it would be fun and interesting.

I used to dye eggs when I was a kid.  My favorite was trying to get a nice deep purple color.  Next favorite were the cool tie-dye swirl colors.  Haven't died eggs since I was in college.  One year my roommates and some other friends dyed eggs, then blew out the eggs (hollowed out the eggs to keep just the colored shells), and used a kit to make egg characters (add faces, arms, legs, etc).  Was pretty fun.  I still have some of them too.   :bunny:

Yes,family tradition, well I no longer do at home- but my daughters do with there kids. Dye eggs,fingers,tables,ect.,lol. We are a colorful bunch around Easter! I used to use the eggs for egg salad and deviled eggs ,but this generation wont give them up-one eats the yolk, the other likes the whites ,and the other eats the whole thing.

Havent done it since forever, and my child really has no interest in it. When I was younger, It was like I was a mad scientist and I had to set everything set up just right to get the perfect colored egg!

I use to as a kid, I don't anymore, I help hide the eggs for my little cousins to hunt for them.

We did they amm the time the kids were growing up.  Then we did them with the grandkids.  The last few years we haven't done any as some of the family has been out of town.  Two years ago we were in Florida for Easter and hid plastic eggs for the kids around our rental house.

I have not dyed eggs in years, not since my son was younger. We always used the Paas egg dye kit. Loved making them various colors and than putting the stickers on them. We would also write on the egg with crayon before dying them so the words would show.

Yes, my mom still likes to. She also gets little rocks and helps the neighbor kid paint them to put in her garden.
