Yes they can but there is usually always a suspicion that y'all are romantically involved and if you want to live with that so be it

I believe that it is entirely possible.  Though it depends if both want a friendship or not.  Some people enter friendships hoping for them to become something else.  If that is the case, I don't think it will work out.  But if both are fine just being friends, there shouldn't be a problem.

yes there is nothing wrong with men and women being friends...i have lots of male friends...they have respect for me cuz i am in a relationship, and they are always there when i need someone to talk to.

I think they can if they want to, I mean what’s the big deal? It’s not like you want to date everybody you meet. Some guys are just too goofy to want to have as more than a friend.

Absolutely, I have tons of friends that are girls, I don't see anything wrong with that! I think its kind of strange if you don't have friends from each sex.
