The news media has become a force for making news rather than reporting news.  We all need to remember not to forego common sense just because someone in a position of trust tells us things that don't make sense.  I'm amazed at how many people I know are intelligent pass around total BS by email.  I can't imagine how gullible they must be with what's supposed to be more reliable sources.

It really is a shame the way a lot of people treat others, but they have no respect for themselves and therefore cannot respect others.  My generation was taught respect and manners but that seems to have fallen to the wayside.  These days if a young person shows respect its more of an oddity than an expected thing.  I know parents are busy making a living, but we need to slow down enough to realize how we are raising our kids and grandkids.

Yeah I agree...the world is sick and crazy and too-open. Most people are also very selfish and they don't care about other people. They only care about themselves. I am grew up in this world. I am 16 and I can see that the world is sick. Respect is loss. Fear is everywhere and it is very powerful. My advice: DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD. Make you own crowd or be a follower in a good one.

Yes, we are living in a sick and dangerous time, I feel that the population is to blame. Just like wild animalls will thin out the heard, when they get over popualted, I feel it works the same way when the human race is over populated.

I work part time at a cleaning company and plus I have 2 houses that I clean on the side and still not making enough money!

People seem to be much more crueler than they used to be.  Mothers and fathers think nothing of abandoning their kids or abusing them in such horrible ways that it makes me want to cry!!  Its just so sad.

Wow so many times I heard this growing up from dad. I try not to read the news and I really dont watch it on tv. I was floored when I read about the mom glueing her childs hands. I look at my son and say what kind of person would do that to a child who you are suppose to protect from danger like that. I had tears for poor lil person. So sad. I say prayers every night for the children of the world because they are just sush precious gifts.

I agree. I cannot believe some of things that people do to animals and children.  It is shocking some of the things I have seen on Animal Planet how animals are treated.
The poor animals never hurt anyone and are totally innocent and what people will do them as well as children.  I think in many ways, animals are most civilized than many of the people in this world.
