Fire Drill
« on: April 14, 2012, 07:48:14 am »
Every spring, we replace our batteries in our smoke detectors. As a mother with young kids, we decided that we should also have a fire drill in our house. We watched a movie with Elmo experiencing his first "fire" in Hooper's store as part of our activity.

Anyway, my point is to remind everyone the importance of having a fire drill. Remind kids how to escape and where you'll meet after leaving the house.

You can find me on Youtube!

Good point for all with kids, but this does NOT belong under Payments [from FC], better placed in Off-Topic.

It drives me nuts when people do that but yes it is a wonderful reminder that we should all be doing this.

Springsgardner, what is the name of that video?

:o Yes, I guess we really need to practice having a fire drill.  Not because we have little kids but because we recently purchased my deceased mother's house which has had metal bars on the windows for years.  We have discovered they are rusted shut so even if we had the keys and we don't, it is doubtful we could get them open except the ones on the glass sliding doors.  Your post was certainly food for thought.  :BangHead:
