Should abortion be legal?

The government shouldn't have a say in it. they have too much power and are into too many things they have no business in (seatbelts, helmet laws, etc.) I personally am not for abortion except for some of the cases already stated, but I, or anyone else, not actually involved (the mother and the father) shouldn't have a say in it. 

This is exactly what you would THINK the republican stance would be on this issue... Smaller government, right?

I think that abortion should be legal in the first trimester.  This gives a woman three months to figure out that she is pregnant, explore every range of options, before the fetus has started to form into a human. After that the baby begins to take on human characteristics and I think that you are committing murder.  It is a woman's body and they should be allowed to do with their body's as they see fit.  If I were a woman I couldn't think about abortion because I believe in the sanctity of life unless this decision were forced on me through rape.

making it illegal would be like prohibition....the government may say it's illegal but people will still find ways to get it done and besides this is a personal decision it shouldn't be left to a court to decide if it's legal or not

Human life begins in the womb, therefore abortion should be outlawed under every circumstance. To a large degree, we ahumans have lost regard for the sanctity of life. God hewlp us.

This is a very touchy topic, however, I believe that if a child is conceived between 2 people that love each other, it absolutely should be illegal and not used as a birth control method. Everyone knows what premarital sex can lead to and they know the consequences. I have seen several abortion videos and they are horrible watching a little baby formed pull away and in pain. I have also seen children be born that were attempted abortions missing limbs. I feel that if you don't or can't deal with the baby put it up for adoption, as so many people out their are living just to love and spoil a child they can't have. Plus people that I know personally that have had one, they never forget it! They had to deliver a baby and put toe tag on it and leave in a bucket. They also have had children be born alive and they had to leave it alone in a bucket as it was not supposed to live. They let the baby die or sever the spinal cords at base of head.. It's not for me... but if you don't want kids, then get tubes tied or vasectomy. No one suffers.  Touchy and emotional topic, however if a person is raped or medically life threatened, they treat the situations different. They have after morning pill, and they also have counseling and tests for the mothers and babies before their born.

I personally do not believe in it,but to each his own.The only way I would go for it is if its a medical emergency.And then I would have serious doubts.Just my opinion.

Whether it is legal or not, it should not be done unless the mother's life is in serious danger.
The mother can reproduce again; the baby cannot.
