Live and let live. I believe in God and if you don't thats okay. I wont try to convert anyone or condem anyone for there beliefs. You should except people as they are.

Cannibals are people too.  Should they be accepted or 'excepted' as they are?  Why should those who hold the same religious beliefs as those who fly aircraft into buildings full of other people, (or, held such 'festivities' as the Crusades, Inquistions and other atrocities), be acceptible?  There's no particular requirement to do so and at least some sense of moral imperatives not to.

"Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings."
-- Victor Stenger

Regarding your remark I highlighted and underlined, are you insinuating those who fly aircraft into buildings full of other people hold the same religious beliefs as myself or many others in here?

When you cherry-pick something out of context, you're more likely to draw an incorrect conclusion.  That context remains quoted above as '(or, held such 'festivities' as the Crusades, Inquistions and other atrocities)'.  That means I don't accept the religious beliefs of those who would and have done such things, (those people were also self-designated xtians).  The other terrorists were self-designated muslims.

If you are, then let me clarify adamantly that my belief in Jesus is nothing of the same beliefs of those evil people.

The religion is the same, the believers are different people.  Now is a good time to recall what was stated about separating the religious belief from the believer.  For instance, I don't regard all muslims as terrorists however, I do recognise that the terrorists regarded themselves as muslims, (and that some other muslims also wished to understandaably distance themselves from their religious 'brethren').  In the same way, I don't regard all xtians as supporters of the Crusades or Inquistions, (though some probably are, as far as the underlying commonality in religious beliefs goes).

If you are, then I'm asking respectfully that you retract that "assumption" that you are making, because it is absolutely not true.  In my religious beliefs, we do not do stuff like that nor believe in supporting anything like that.  That is an awfully bold statement, if you are implying that, that is very wrong and dangerously near the edge of inflammation of believers who want nothing of what those evil people did/done/do.  Thank you in advance, unless I am wrong.  It's the way it is written with it's clear implications coming through.

See the above; staying within context can be more useful than jumping to conclusions.

Okay.  Thank you for clarifying more about that.   :cat:

No problem, (although it did require a lengthier explanation, no?).

Yes I Believe in God even when I felt that he had forgotten me, but that didn't last long.  Something happen that prove to me that He was still holding my hand.  Just because He doesn't answer then, He will answer.  :angel11:

I do not simply because people who try to prove the Bible as fact always refer to the Bible for evidence. Where is the evidence that anything in that book is real? I could write anything but the fact that it is on paper would not make it a true statement.

Precisely so, David.  That's called 'self-referential' when the reference sourced is claimed as the evidence for itself in such a circular manner.  Such irrationality has rarely provided an obstacle for believers in an inerrant "bible".

"The Bible as we have it contains elements that are scientifically incorrect or even morally repugnant. No amount of 'explaining away' can convince us that such passages are the product of Divine Wisdom."

I agree with you. I do believe in God but I am skepitcal about how much of the bible is Gods Word and how much man has tweeked it to soot his own needs. And there is really no evidence to back up what they say.

Well, I hope you're not (though I know you are) going where I think you're going with this. Even us moron non-believers are smart enough to know that any argument made from the question above is pretty much swiss cheese. Also, even if my life was complete and utter crap, Bill Gates is doing pretty damn well for himself...you know, him being a moron and all.

Anyway, I left my job 3 years ago but the door is still open for me to go back. Every time I think I'll go back, I fall backwards into money. I could be doing a lot better, but that's pretty much in my control.

As for us being morons, just curious, you can say that with a straight face when you believe in an invisible man in the sky with absolutely zero proof? If you're a Christian, your entire religion is based on the belief that an immortal being somehow died by sacrificing himself to himself to appease himself. You believe that an immortal being can die and its death can be called a sacrifice even though he knew he was coming back 3 days later and therefore didn't give up anything at all....and we're the morons?

To answer the question by the way, no, I don't believe in god  :angel11:

By faith, everyone believes in "something." I believe in God, the trinity, and Jesus Christ.

Yet, such beliefs rest upon "faith", (which rests upon no substantive evidentiary basis).  As long as you're okay with such blind faith, there will be those who aren't.

As long as she's okay for her genuine faith in God, it's no one else's business about it.

The same could be said of any "faith" so long as such a belief remains private.  As soon as the believer chooses to make it public, any public comments/remarks/agreement/dissent is anyone else's choice and not the business of religious would-be censors.

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations."

When you cross the line into disrespect, it is indeed, none of your business.  Once again, your dissenting remarks are more than that - they are just plain rude and thoughtless.
