1. Flint fire starter - Fire is one of the most important things you will need for survival. Fire has multiple uses such as to cook food, keep wild animals away, light, boil water, and to keep yourself warm.

2. Knife - Another useful thing for survival. Use it to kill/slice animals you're going to eat, cut wood, and to defend yourself.

3. Canteen - If you want to survive, you need water. A canteen is a tool that allows you to carry water.

What's the sense of a cell phone - I don't think stranded Islands come with cell towers or battery chargers.!!

If I was stranded on an island I would want my husband, some kind of knife, and food.  I know the food would not last long but it will help until the shock and worriedness went away so I could make something to figure out how to make a sharp tool to fish and look around for food that grows on the island.  I have watched some of those survival shows on the history channel and you have to be able to use the thing that are there to survive.  This was a great question and really makes you think about what if this happened to me.
