I like Facebook.  I do not post anything that is harmful or mean.  I always post things about my Lord and Savior.  I believe in helping other people in their every day life.  I also have my family on it and I have 2 grandsons that live up north.  I keep in touch with them and when they post pictures of the children, I tag it and put it on my fb.  There is no reason to be hateful to other people or post things that would hurt anyone.  I do not post personal things, like when I am not home or anything like that.  No telling someone may know you are not home and break into you home.  Hope everyone has a nice day and may God bless each of you and keep you safe.

Facebook is full of jokers, who have no idea, what to say to a person face to face. It's like talking about someone behind their back.  If u got something to say about a person say it to their face.

I agree with the one above. What happened to having fun on the net? Alot of marriages and such have have been destroyed due to this site. Alot of companies want you to like their site in order to get free samples. I tell thm no thank you. If you want me to try your product send it to me with a link and I will be happy to try the product and then give my opinion. I love to give that good or bad.

Agree with a previous poster.  Use Facebook alot for coupons or offers from business pages and to keep up with a few close friends.  Do not friend people in general that I don't know or post personal information.

I also agree but I prefer using the ones from the newspaper.

To each his own. I am on facebook and don't have any issues with it. I get to talk to family and friends who I don't get to see often. Hasn't ruined any of my relationships.

I have family and friends on Facebook and I do online business on FB.

I have seen stuff on FB that I feel people should not post....too much personal stuff or words said that should not be said that could damage relationships or even someone's employment.

People need to use their heads here.

FB has been a blessing to me. I can keep up with my extended family and friends from my home country on a daily basis which makes me feel not so isolated in the US.

I love communicating with friends who live in different states or countries and facebook makes that possible without a cost. People just need to be careful what they post.

I don't go on facebook too often (I probably do only once every few months) but you might have a point.
Opinion: 1) a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter 2) belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
This is the internet, learn to let people have opinions. And don't be so sensitive.  8)

True, true, there are so many people on there that have bad motives....but I do ministry on there so it can be used for good, it is the type of people that you are around and talk to, more than facebook, there are evil people in yahoo messenger that sell sex, all the time everywhere is evil people.

Deactivating my Facebook was one of the best decisions I've made this summer.
I've thought about deactivating my facebook many times, but then some of my actual friends (not facebook "friends" that I barely know) will post pictures of a trip or event that I really want to see so i stay on.  I've noticed that most people use it as a way to say every little detail of their life and others use it to get attention.  one of my "friends" posted this on their wall "Why do I bother?"  that's it.  She's always writing things like that so that everyone on there will ask her what's wrong and tell her how worthwhile she is.  It drives me crazy!!
We mostly stay on due to family members.  We like getting new pics of them that way, since every one now has a digital camera.  It's a great way to download current pics of family and friends.

Other than that, we keep our profiles set to private and even then, the profiles are no searchable.

To keep from getting fired from a job, don't give the facebook account details out.  Just say you don't want a facebook account.  Either that or make a dummy account for work, and keep the real one you use on private and don't advertise it.

My facebook use is based solely on my family, who don't live near me.  This keeps me updated and I get to see pictures of the grandkids.  I don't pay attention to anything else on there.

I used to have a Facebook account, but I deleted it for good over a year ago. I had too many guys from high school that I went with starting to hit on me and they knew I was married!!!  :o My husband didn't like it at all.   :BangHead: Plus, family members would read my wall and get hurt if I didn't invite them to a party or something! It was like everyone knew what I was doing!! I hated it! I switched to being really private and I never disclose my personal or real name online anymore.  8)

I agree I only go on facebook to see how my dad is doing because he doesn't talk to me on the phone and I have seen him in over 20 years.  I can't afford to go to California so I communicate through facebook because he actually talks to me on there.  I use to get a call once a year for my birthday and now he just does it on facebook.  I was so upset last year because he didn't call.  So I don't know what he will do this year I guess  I will find out in 12 days.
