I think my point was clear, but feel free to define and point out mistakes as you wish. I am sure there are several grammar issues, as I don't proof on survey site posts.

Your point missed the point and had less to do with grammar than with comprehending the contended issue.  That contention regards whether or not Chick-fil-A is in violation of federal employment discrimination laws.

I have seen less on hiring issues and more on gays should not be allowed to marry. I was stating my opinion on the latter issue. Which I have now done and will move on.

Enjoy surfing the board looking for things to argue about.

I didn't because it was 40+ minute wait at my local ones. I think the entire situation is crazy. So what about the president of the companies views. Everyone has their own right. The company is based around Christian beliefs. Did he say he wouldn't serve the GBL community? Nope. Did he say he wouldn't hire the GBL community? Nope. He simply was stating his view on the GBL marriage. I agree it should stay between men and women. If you don't agree, that's fine. At least I can say I respect your view on the situation and move on.

Good for you however, the context of this thread had more to do with a company having discriminatory fundamentalist xtian hiring/employment practices than to do with gays marrying at Chick-fil-A outlets.

Enjoy surfing the board looking for things to argue about.

This isn't a difficult task, given such dimwitted posts as yours to reply to.

I don't appreciate the snide attitude which preceded the "insult" and therefore followed the spirit of the "Golden Rule"; you insulted the intelligence of those reading the thread and that was returned in kind.  To wit:

Discriminating would mean not serving them. The workers dont screen the customers asking if they are gay or not and then providing food based on the answer.

No, the matter concerns employment discrimination, not discriminating against customers.

No it doesn't.  Once again I must ask you if you ever think before you post or if you simply spew out your hate filled rhetoric?

Still laboring under that delusion where you mistakenly believe you get to redefine context, are you?  Well, at least it serves as a side dish to your other religious self-delusions, (which is why you support the religiously-based discriminatory employment practices of that 'full-of-chickenshit' xtian business).

WE don't have a chikfila here--but i would chose to not go, because i don't agree with the company. I don't understand why people (or a whole company for this matter) has to push their beliefs on others. If you agree with them, then it's your right to support them--I don't, so obviously i wouldn't support them. I guarantee there are gays that work for chik fil a and if i were them i would be pretty mad if the top man in my company said that we were all against gay marriage, because, unless i was very self defeating, i would be for gay marriage.

Although I've seen a few of those chicken shacks around, I've never eaten there for two main reasons.  One, you mentioned, (along with my being against blind religious faith dictating hiring & employment practices), and the other being that friends who have eaten there have stated that their food is much crappier than KFC.

Besides those reasons, how would some xtians feel if a company decided to hire only satanists and eschewed xtians?  There'd be civil suits stacked up for blocks around courthouses, that's how - hypocrits.

My personal opinion is that the head of Chick-fil-a is entitled to his opinion as his right of free speech in the USA.

Whether I agree or disagree with his opinion should have no bearing where his company can or can not do business.

People can choose whether or not they want to go to one of their stores for themselves.

The last time I checked I still live in the United States of America where I can speak and chose for myself freely

I tried to eat ther but the line was wrapped around the building where i live. The drive thru and the people standing in line. Everyone had the right to their opinion, beliefs, etc. Why do we as a society worry so much about what is said than to try to fix and work on the bigger issues in life.
