I have not watched it.  The commercials are more than enough for me.  There is too much stupidity on TV already; why do we need more?

That show is outright disgusting. The kids keep eating fake cheese snacks from a huge jar, throw it on the carpet, and then eat that also. ::)

I love this show! My family is completely different from this family, but their willingness to display themselves to give the little sister an opportunity that she normally would not have, means a lot to me.  The first time that I saw Alana on Toddlers and Tiaras, I knew she would have her own show.  She has more personality than a Glee cast (the entire cast), but needs some much needed refining for the pageants that she wants to win. Even though the people helping might be in it for the $, this little girl will benefit...& her family will laugh all the way to the bank.

I love Honey Boo Boo this show keeps me rolling everytime I watch it. Who cares if it's for the money or this is who they really are. I love when people make fun of themselves.

I started to watch it, but turned it. I didn't want my daughter to see a lot of the things they do. I grew up in Kentucky so when I saw them representing the south I wanted to see more of it. In my opinion it was just bad. Theres a lot of funny stuff in it, but its not good to watch over all.
Heres a salvation message. I hope you are interested.
Romans
Chapter 3
1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?

2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?

4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
Psa 51:4

5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)

6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

8 And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.

9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Psa 14:1, 53:1 Ecc 7:20

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Psa 14:2, 53:2

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psa 14:3, 53:3

13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Psa 5:9, 140:3

14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Psa 10:7

15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Isa 59:7 Prov 1:16

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
Isa 59:7

17 And the way of peace have they not known:
Isa 59:8

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Isa 59:8

19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

Romans 3 KJV
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.

Ummmm College?   You HAVE seen the show, right?
Yes I have seen the show, and just because they act the way they do now and what everyone else thinks about them DOES NOT mean that their kids won't go to college. Who cares how they live, money is hard to comeby these days!!! They are getting paid for being themselves.

I've never seen the show but one of the nat'l radio programs mention it almost on a daily basis, especially the sound bite of her yelling out "You better redneckonize!" The radio program also mentioned that the family only received $2,200 per episode.  Which of course led to renegotiating the family pay, signing for several holiday specials and a new season.

These kids will not go to college.  They will blow the 20 grand they make doing the show on 4 wheelers, and the human thumb that is their mother will die in 14 years form type 2 diabetes. But first she'll have a foot or two amputated.

And what's wrong with giving them a show???????   How about the fact that every time you put a train wreck family's life on display for people to laugh at you are taking away an opportunity for someone to put a creative, well written show on television. This entire genre of television is appalling.

It depresses me that this gets more attention than the Curiosity Rover on Mars. I'm going to hijack this thread with SCIENCE!

Click this. It's pretty cool-

I hate this show.  I actually feel like I am losing brain cells when I watch it.  It scares me that she is our future.

I looked up clips of it after I read this post because I kept seeing things about it, but really had no idea what it was. "White trash" comes to mind; it can be strangely fascinating to watch... that people exist who actually live/act like that.

More power to them, not everyone has the opportunity to not worry about where their income will come from for a while. I worry about how we are going to make it everyday, and their setting up trust funds for their kids. I wish I could do that!
