I waited for the price of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit to go down.  I finally was able to buy it when it went to half off.  Now I don’t know if I enjoyed it because of the price I paid for it (the combo pack was only 10 dollars) or the fact that it was funny.  I do know that I enjoyed the Hobbit a lot more than the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

Journey 2: Mysterious Island with the Rock was a lot more funny than the original with Brendan Fraser.  I got the first one because of Brendan Fraser but the second one with the banter between the Rock and Michael Caine is just hilarious.

I was not disappointed with Jack Reacher I just think it’s a bit too slow to be labeled action like it is.

I was thinking about Keanu Reeves and then the trailer for 47 Ronin came out.  So can’t wait for Christmas for that to come out.  Awesome Christmas present.  Thanks Hollywood!

47 Ronin builds up to be a fantasy/sci-fy movie but I don’t know how well it will do considering it’s a ‘oriental’ movie.  Not to be prejudice but the last one I remember was Tom Cruise with the Last Samurai.  (Which I have and enjoy.)  I don’t think that did too well in the box office and this movie looks expensive.  I hope it’s not a box office flop the way all the big “Blockbuster” movies have been lately.  Lone Ranger anyone?

I can’t believe they did another Percy Jackson movie.  I enjoyed and own the first one but still.  Then I watched the trailer.  Not only is the ‘old crew’ back but the fact that Nathan Fallon has a cameo…so going to see it.

Mortal Instruments: City of Bones has some neat special effects and the plot is promising enough but I’m thinking it’s gonna leave it’s producers with empty pockets since it’s geared for a certain type of audience and I doubt that type of audience has deep enough wallets to cover it’s mega cost.

Under the Bed looks like another lame attempt to recreate the 80’s magic of Nightmare on Elm Street with tired old clichéd horror tricks.

Someone tell me why Hollywood thinks it’s okay to create movie trailers that don’t really tell you a single thing about the movie?  I thought the purpose was to make you go see it not leaving you scratching your head wondering WTF.  Like ‘The Host’ trailer.  What’s that all about?  The world isn’t your own since its all peaceful…and what’s with the planet being in the middle of everyone’s eyes?

I can only guess by the trailer that the new Wolverine 2013 movie is meant to take place not after X-men Origins Wolverine but after X-Men 3.

I haven't seen any of the Iron Man or Avengers movies.  I was always more a fan of the X Men.
