You can check out Genesis chapter one for information. I use the KJV because it is the only totally accurate English translation compared to the Greek and Hebrew Bible.
Lord Jesus Christ is the only way for eternal salvation from sins. Jesus loves you.

I wouldn't advise this.  "Genesis" also states that a man lived to be 930.  This is just the start of a long line of illogical and fallacious statements perpetuated in this "book"

The Bible is best read symbolically and not literally.  It's not an accurate source for scientific fact though.

Fiction is fiction no matter how you slice it.

I think a lot of people have this question, but the simple answer is God Himself is the Light from the darkness and His very presence illuminates the world.

You can see another example of this in Revelation 21:23 ( "The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.") So the Kingdom of God at the world's end will not need the Sun for light either.Just as earth didn't on the first day.

Im sure this wont help you but ill answer you anyway.God told Adam in the day he sinned he would die.Gods day is 1000 of our years so Adam did die within Gods day.Man living longer then was because they were closer to perfection then.

So by that logic, these days we should be living fewer and fewer days since we are "further" from perfection?  Your fictional argument lacks intellect and logic.

Fiction is fiction no matter how you slice it.

That's correct and since the various 'bibles' are retranslations of misunderstood superstitious hearsay sans substantive evidence to support magical religious claims, they remain fictional.

One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

People lived longer in ancient times do to the lack of genetic imperfections that would gradually happen after the Fall of Man.People didn't live much longer than we do today after the Flood.

That's a unsubstantiated religious contention based upon blind faith, not evidence.

I see your points, but what other work of fiction combines murder, rape, pillaging, incest, wars, slavery, and supernatural acts under one cover and has millions of people accepting it as gospel and an authority as to how they should live their lives?

Not sure ... a toss-up between the Twilight series of books or, the Star Trek books perhaps?

Don't forget Star Wars. That might qualify too.
