It isnt as sentimental to me as it once was, since i have no family any longer to share it with. I now go to someones house who also has no family, so we can celebrate together.

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes with gravy.  I'll have to fix it for myself and eat by myself but I'll still enjoy it.  I intend to make the dressing from scratch - already have the bread ready.

I see my family quite often throughout the year, so I suppose my favorite thing then would be certain dishes I come to expect during the holiday, which I don't often have otherwise - particularly stuffing, cranberry, pumpkin pie and candy yam (I make the latter).

What I love about Thanksgiving, it is the one holiday that everyone celebrates in America.  We are thankful for our country.  You can be wealthy, poor, smart. not so bright, religious or not.... But still be thankful for our country.
