a gallon well it's suppose to happen because of the farmers and the fiscal cliff thing.the story is on cnn or msn one of those.better not i'm a real milk fan that would be twice as expensive now it's about 3.50 a gallon.

7.00 a gallon for milk will really hurt the families with kids!  And think of  the school system! :bs:

I hope it never gets that high! I just got it on sale at my local Kroger for 2.79!
It's normally 3.09! I have a two year old who LOOOVVVEESS his milk we prollably go through a gallon every 3 days!
If It goes up any higher it would be cheaper buying a cow!  :P

The cost of food is steadily climbing.
I am amazed a can of Campbell's Soup is $1.49.

The dairy industry is already hurting. If a price like that happened anytime in the near future this will definitely convince people to consider alternatives. My family already rotates between standard milk and soy.

If the prices to milk alternatives such as rice milk or almond milk don't increase people might start drinking them.

The cheapest price for milk in my neighborhood is $4.65 and I think that is outrageous.  Hopefully the $7.00 a gallon thing is an exaggeration.

We've been using soy , and sometimes coconut, milk in our household for awhile now so this won't affect me that much. Still, $7.00 a gallon is just crazy! I can't believe the dairy industry is doing that badly. Wow!
