The Government will order broadband providers, landline and mobile phone companies to save the information for up to a year under a new security scheme.
What is said in the texts, emails or phone calls will not be kept but information on the senders, recipients and their geographical whereabouts will be saved.
Direct messages to users of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter will also be saved and so will information exchanged between players in online video games.
The information will be stored by individual companies rather than the government.
The news has sparked huge concerns about the risk of hacking and fears that the sensitive information could be used to send spam emails and texts.

Anyone listening to my phone conversations would be bored beyond redemption.  I spend almost 8 hours a day on the phone at my job; I don't go out of my way to have phone conversations during my off-hours.

I don't worry about it...I'm sure if anyone listened in on my fiance and i's conversation they would be completely confused 
Lol we both have adhd so our convos never stay on one subject long

The government is going to do what they are going to do. Worrying about it serves no purpose. I hope they have lots of coffee. They will need it if they listen to my boring conversations.

My cell phone is mainly for only when I happen to be away from home and people seldom call it so I don't worry a whole lot about it.
