food is so high these days especially meat. I'm not a big meat eater but my husband is so I have to get beef. Beef is the most expensive. That's something someone really need to work on. Getting the food prices down

We have a couple grocery store around here one is Walmart it's very reasonably priced then I like personally I like Fred Myers. Because every time I spent hundred dollars there I get tense and solve on my gas bill will next fill up so that helps cut down on my gas bill which is outrageous as it is. And we also get a quarterly rebate eight from them and coupons for of what we spend their! That makes it a little more easy to expends money America's I get a little bit of the rebate it might cost me more I don't know and Walmart but I like that little bit rebate on gas and food rebate from them.

I agree. Items have gone up tremendously. In the past prices would creep up a little at a time. Lately they are just 'JUMPING' up.
One product that I  buy was $1 six months ago is now $1.50. This is just unacceptabe.
Meat is so high that I have not had beef in more than 6 months!

unfortunately it is probably going to keep moving on up.  The summer drought that killed the corn crops will be affecting prices for some time to come.  I try to stock up on sales. Having an additional freezer really helps. I even freeze coffee creamers when they are on sale now.

Most grocery stores', such as Kroger, prices went or should I say, "jumped up."

Sometimes I come back from the grocery store and question myself, look on the receipt and wonder weren't most of these things on sale, then I look at the receipt again and look thru things and just say boy where did my money go lol!!!

I have Giant Eagle which is super expensive unless stuffs on sale! However the cool thing about it is that you get fuel rewards for money spent in the store...even on gift cards...but you also get a percentage off your food for get gas there

The prices at grocery stores are definitely getting higher we've noticed. :(

My mom has noticed higher prices on everything to dairy (that was big in the news a while back and another member said they heard milk was headed for $7.00 recently) to tuna, chicken and more. Even shopping at supposed discount stores like Aldi's and sav-a-lot hasn't kept away the higher prices.

We are trying to make do on a limited budget, but it definitely has gotten to be more difficult lately. I hope the prices go down, but I am not expecting that to happen.

Our family splits our grocery dollars between Aldi and Walmart.  But I agree the prices have gone through the roof on some things that I consider stables of the family like milk, peanut butter and bread.

They have predicted that prices would go up this year.
I do alot of my shopping at Walmart and then shop the
sales at the local grocery stores.

I plan to do a lot more sale & coupon shopping this year
to try to save some money

I have kroger, walmart an meijer in my area. I do most of my grocery shopping at meijer. I have been noticing a trend lately, i cannot get out of there without spending about $100. Then i am back in there in about 1 or 2 days getting more stuff.

Yes things are expensive even some thinga at walmart are up there. People will tell you to buy when on sale and with coupons that works but not all the time.they rarely have say meat coupons  but offer discounts on meat like 1.00 or 2.00 off those are fine if you use them that day or freeze right away. We have dollar stores like 99cent love most of what i get there.

I just started using coupons a few months ago and they really make a big difference. With coupons I never pay for toothpaste, lotion, deodorant, body wash, pads, or razors. Use the money you save to buy the things you can't find a coupon on. Trust me buying things with coupons when they are on sale will save you a lot of cash.
