No, I don't have a lot of friends because I have a large family. So growing up, I really didn't feel the need to socialize all that much, but in the end that kinda hurt me a bit.

I don't have a lot of friends, just a few really good friends I can trust and is always there when I need them or I'm there for them when they need me.

Same reason. You can know a lot of people who claim to be your friend, but not many are quality friends.

I have a select few really good friends.  I don't feel like I need a lot of friends and I don't believe anyone who says they have 100 really good friends.

"Good Friends" are hard to come by. I could count my oldest friends as good friends because they have been friends for so, so long.  I don't think I often qualify as a good friend because I never seem to know just what to do for someone in need.  Always wish I could do more.
But, I would say that I have a dozen or so good friends.

i know a lot of people but because of the postiion i'm in a school but i try to keep my group of friends limited and small because i've known them for years

I have a lot of... "associates" - people that I wouldn't necessarily call if I had a problem, but if I was in their neighborhood I'd stop in and say hi. I really only have a couple of close friends.

No I don't have a lot of friends and to be honest with you I don't know if its even possible to have a lot of "friends" unless you are using the term loosely.  I don't think there are many people out there made out of true friend stuff so if you find one or two I think you are doing good.
