I drink socially but no weed.  However, the folks I know that do smoke are alot more mellow than those that drink.

When speaking on this subject...I do agree with the fact that they should legalize weed and band alcohol.
Now I also grew up around alcohol and weed. And I realized that everything man makes is not good for you. They use to say that drinking and driving kills on those after school commercials. And now they want to say the same thing about pot but that is all a lie.

Alcohol is:(1) Man Made
              (2) Impaires Judgement/Reflexes
              (3) Causes dizziness
              (4) Lack of balance(off equilibrium)
              (5) Causes slurring and blurred vision
              (6) Causes vomiting
              (7) Causes hang overs & sour stomach
              (8) Causes dehydration
              (9) Causes stomach ulcers
             (10) Destroys your liver
             (11) Alcohol poisoning
             (12) May cause aggressiveness !!!!

Weed is:   (1) Natural- from the earth
               (2) causes munchies
               (3) causes things to move slower
               (4) used for medical treatment
               (5) used for migraines,cramps and
                 other aches and pains
               (6) used for therapy
               (7) may cause you to be happy

Seriously I don't see anything wrong with them legalizing because I think that it would calm the world down.
By legalizing, crime rate would dramatically drop. And then the less crimes, the less criminals, the less we have to send people to prison and the less money that tax payers have to provide for these prisons.
However I don't think we will see that day any time soon that they will legalize it because of the reasons that I stated above. If they cut down the crime adn criminals then we would also have alot of judges,DA's, police officers and things of that nature without a job. So in order to keep their jobs, they have to lie and make up reasons why they continue to consider weed a drug.

In all reality a drug is something that is man made.So therefore alcohol is a drug and pot is just an herb that can be cooked and also used as therapy.

Yep! What Trop8 said.

Weed is the lesser evil.  Alcoholic vs Pothead? I'd rather be a pothead any day.  I'd like to at least remember my night.

What's wrong with getting HIGH on life.  Have we become a society of chemically dependent misfits.  Look at the night sky, the mountains and rivers, the beautiful sunsets and on and on and on............That's a natural high.  Who needs more?

You might be surprised, legalization of marijuana is more of a reality now then ever. It's a known fact that by legalizing marijuana in the U.S. and being able to tax it, with the current amount of "illegal" sales being made, they would make enough money in tax money to completely repair the current destroyed economy.

Personally I believe marijuana is a lesser evil. People while high are more in control of there actions and judgment then someone drunk. Driving on marijuana is actually extremely easy and you are actually less likely to have any sort of a accident, because you mostly drive slower and more controlled because you are paranoid. This paranoia keeps you a little more aware of your surroundings. I do believe driving while high should still be considered a DUI, and workplaces should be able to still drug test against it.

Its a no-brainer alcohol is more dangerous then weed.  I am definately a supporter of weed, especially for medical uses.  My  brother law was a lucky recipient to this before he died. Unfortunately, he wouldn't share :sad1:

i dont see anything wrong with either of them. besides if the government were to legalizing weed think how much they would rip us off. i bet the government would charge us 100xtimes what its worth on the street.

Personally, I have to say that both can be good and bad.  If you have an "addictive personality", you will allow yourself to be completely screwed up and have it overcome your life, whichever you partake in.

I know social drinkers and alcoholics.  I know people who blaze up every morning and people who tried it "once in college".

It depends on the person.  if you can handle either of them and not allow it to run your life, I see no problem with either one of those.

None for me though.  Never enjoyed either of em.

I think this world is "*d*" up because people use drugs and alcohol as an escape to many and sometimes all their personal problems rather than trying to resolve them.

Well...although I do not do either...(anymore)...I must admit that when under the influence of weed you are more in control of situations than you are when you drink. But, there's the whole illegal factor about it.

There haven't really been any legitimate, in depth studies on the long term effects of marijuana, so anything said on the subject is usually baseless and anecdotal evidence at best (which isn't very useful).
