Marriage Wakeup
« on: February 12, 2013, 03:40:47 am »

As Barb was getting to know David and his family, she was very impressed by how much his parents loved each other.

"They're so thoughtful," Barb said.  "Why, your dad even brings your mom a cup of hot coffee in bed every morning."

After a time, Barb and David were engaged, and then married.  On the way from the wedding to the reception, Barb again remarked on David's loving parents, and even the coffee in bed.

"Tell me," she said, "does it run in the family?"

"It sure does," replied David.  "And I take after my mom."

My grandmother told me a story once of a couple that she and my grandfather knew.  He bought her a single red rose every day of their married life until she passed away.  Isn't that romantic and so thoughtful, what a guy he must of been.   :)

That was very funny!!  Hate to admit it, but my husband is more thoughtful toward me than I am towards him.  Don't understand that cause I am overall a very caring and compassionate person.

Hahaha, thanks for the giggle. I can so relate to that story.......my husband is the same - not a romantic ounce in his body, but I love him anyway.  :dontknow:

That was very funny.  I needed the laugh.  Yet, the moral is "Don't look at people through rose-colored glasses".  Another moral is "A book has more than one cover".  It sounded like David was telling Barb that he takes after his mom in that he takes charge. ;D :D

Figures!!!!  I'll bet a million to one she never thought she'd get that answer!!!
