Yeah, this does not apply to you. This is not an actual job where you have to report earnings. The only time you would have to report earnings to anyone is when you make over $600 in a year. Then, you have to report the earnings to the IRS and pay taxes on it. I definitely would not put this on your unemployment claims....especially since it's only $6.

Why would you be unsubscribed? You have generated some money but you have not met any requirement to receive it yet it would seem. A very small tip! Get active! Try to make one contributory comment to the forum every day, instead of "just one post" to the forum!

you should have never even bothered to let them know about it, as now you may have raised a yellow or red flag for the future of your unemployment comp as they may not believe you are not earning in other ways as well. This is cash earnings and as the others have said, you will not receive a 1099 unless you go over $600 during the calendar year, so don't sweat it at this point as you have not even received your first payment which is also part of why you are having trouble producing anything that "proves" your earnings. You may never reach the payout amount if you decide to not continue, your earnings will be good for 180 days to allow you to reach the payout requirements and then if you have not, they will expire. So really until you collect, they haven't been what could be considered earned in the eyes of a governmental agency, but also for such small amounts, you would hurt yourself more in the mountain of paperwork involved and most likely they would not even understand what you may be trying to communicate to them. As they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Leave well enough alone and enjoy the extra cash once you reach the payout point.
