I wore glasses when I was young but now I only wear contacts. Glasses bother me I dont like to wear them for a long time just because i dont like how they feel on my face. However I do see more clear with my glasses. And contacts are kind of a pain to constantly put in and take out and keep clean. I think its more about looks and what look you want. Some glasses are really stylish and make you look a certain way. While some may not like the look of glasses so they wear contacts. I want to get laser eye surgery like my dad and grandma idealy but im too scared. ::)

Tha depends on what I'm doing. If I go to a concert, or go to the Mall, or otherplace where I need to look around and see stuff I will wear contacts. If I'm kicked back at home, I will take be in glasses most likely, especially later in the day.

I don't prefer either but I would rather have contacts.  I have just resently started wearing glasses and I barely put them on because they bug me so much.

I currently wear glasses and I prefer them over contacts for several reasons:

1.)  Contacts take a bit longer to put in than an take out then it is to put on glasses and take off glasses.
2.)  I had an experience when I was young and witnessed a contact wearer having an emergency where one of his contacts manged to get lodged in the side of his eye.
He was experiencing extreme pain and it was an emergency since he was taken before me.
3.)  Glasses protect your eyes from contaminants getting in.
4.)  My eyes are extremely sensitive to irritants and burn and sting easily.

I can probably think of  some more, but I think these are the main reasons.

I wear glasses but I wish I could wear contacts, but I was told my eyes were to bad for that. Maybe I need to see a different eye doctor?

I prefer glasses.   As an Optician, I have seen so many issues caused by people over wearing contacts, that I don't think I'll ever wear them full time.  I have worn them - but never for very long.  I have allergies, and I have tried every brand out there since I get them for free. None of them are comfortable for more than a few hours.
I also see contact lens related infections several times a week.  They are just not as healthy for your eyes as glasses.

If you do wear contacts, Please - PLEASE listen to  your doctor on use and care.   Don't put them in your mouth or use fresh water on soft lenses (the saline is what keeps a contact the right size and shape - not to mention bacteria in your mouth), don't stretch them out and wear them twice as long as you are supposed to, give your eyes a break and wear your glasses at least a few hours every night - or a whole day once a week if you sleep in them, use the same cleaning solution on them from start to finish- different solutions can cause a chemical reaction within the lens, and always wash your hands before handling them.

These few things are the biggest reasons I have people come in for urgent care appointments, and then they get mad at US when we tell them they can no longer wear contacts because they have damaged their cornea.

I've never worn contacts only glasses. I do like glasses because they are easy to maintain and take off when needed.

I use both contacts and glasses. If I'm home, I don't usually bother with contacts though. Glasses are always more comfortable.

I prefer glasses over contacts, I just can't gatter up enough nerves to put them in to even try to see if I would like them.

I love my contacts and hate glasses. I like being able to see clearly in my peripheral vision, especially while driving.

I wear only glasses. With my allergies contacts just don't cut it.Tried once and that was enough. I wear byfoicals and have since i was 14.  Am near sighted in one eye and far sighted in the other. At least no one wants to borrow my glasses when we go somewhere.
