It's not just you it seems like the younger generation has no morals nor respect anymore :star: :star: :star:

That is totally not true. Its natural for people to not be satisfied and to want more. Its easy to take stuff for granted. Plus you have to realize it is the older generation raising the younger generation to be as you say.
True it is the older generation raising the younger but in many ways the younger person does form into their own person and choose to not go by everything they were taught. So therefore you have some young people that are like this, no morals or respect etc....
Agreed.  My husband and I have tried so hard to instill morals and values into our teen son's head (we adopted him at a young age), but he still carries emotional baggage with him and thinks that everything should be handed to him [as it was when he was in the birth home] and he refuses to work to earn money.  Well, we only provide the necessities now - if he wants anything above and beyond that, he can go get a job.

Which is exactly the same thing said by the elders of my generation when I was a 'younger.'

If we remember where, or more accurately 'when' we came from, we can have a little sympathy for the 'youngers.'

You know, from the 'been there, done that' school..   :)

Is it just me or are these topics becoming more and more about gimme me gimme rather than appreciating what we as FC members get. I believe that FC is pretty generous. It's amazing how people always want something for nothing. Disgusted.

I see this all the time here and I agree. While there's nothing wrong with genuine suggestions of types of things to add to the site, many of the "suggestions" are really just complaints or unrealistic ways to earn money. FC can only pay us to do things in which they themselves get paid for... some people want to just get paid to exist, I guess.

Thanks for your post, it takes some work but you can well on FC; I think the main thing to remember is that you have to be consistent and willing to put in the time. I am fairly new on FC but am learning as I go and exploring different options to help in increasing my funds;  a work in progress.

i find that if people are not complaining about one thing or another, then they are not a happy person, so being ungrateful is just another reason to be unhappy.

I do agree that some people are very ungrateful. It goes to show you how people really are.

All you can really do is rate those topics low and move on.

You are absolutely right.  It seems there are more and more people in the world that want something for nothing and having just enough is never enough for them.  Just yesterday as I was running errands I was praying that we are able to skid thorough another month with what we need...It was so sad to me when.the carnival ship's passengers reacted.  Interview after interview we heard people complain and comment on the horrific conditions.  It was an accident people...things happen and you were compensated.  Within what 14 days.  There are people out there who've survived much worse and they've yet to see compensation from insurance companies.  Like my pastor as church said, you'ld think these folks were water boarded out there at sea.  Really?  Why can't more people just appreciate what we have.

Um, have you looked around lately????  Plenty of people out there "think they should be handed everything for free"!!!!  It's pretty pathetic if you ask me.  I was always taught that if you wanted something you either "earned it" or "worked for it"!!!!!  Nothing comes free!!!!

Our culture bears with it a double edged sword.  We want our children to have all the benefits we can give them and with the advent of credit cards, more and more people provide more and more to their children.  So we provide them with a more (better?) material world but it is difficult to do this without also instilling an immediate gratification attitude.  So, it is not surprising that the correlation between wants and needs and working to provide for both escapes many in our world...not just the children.  We are ashamed to say...I cannot do that, I cannot afford it as many of our parents and grandparents did.  Technology also adds to this because we can see, receive and download everything.  No looking it up in books, going to the library and researching - just google it!  We even have our wants delivered overnight to our door.  Not too sure what we can do about this.  It is all to fast and too easy.  And when we hear no., well we just get angry instead of figuring out how we can work toward a solution.  We are all just too entitled!

I could not agree more.  It is so upsetting.  I was taught to always be grateful.  I always try to be kind and say please and thank you, even for the simplest things.
