So sorry to hear about your mom and certainly will pray that she will get well and quickly and will also pray for you guys as you travel back and forth under such difficult circumstances.  Here's hoping and praying your mom will be home soon and you guys won't have to go though all this travel and concern.

I was born and raised in Kentucky and have never heard of it. Is it in Liouville? Been in Colorado over four years now though.

It is the medical hospital for the University of Kentucky (home of the awesome Wildcats).  It has been there for years and has grown to a major complex.  It is a marvelous facility.
Have a wonderful day!

I'm requesting prayers for my mother.  She has been in the hospital since March 18th.  She will have a good day and then has a major set back.  The most difficult part is that she is at the University of Kentucky Medical Center and this is two hours away from our home.  Prayers for safe travels back and forth to the hospital for my family, also.  Thank you and may God bless you.

Mom got to come home last night.  She still has a long road of recovery a head of her.  My mother was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia (Trigeminal neuralgia (TN, or TGN), also known as prosopalgia, suicide disease, or Fothergill's disease is a neuropathic disorder characterized by episodes of intense pain in the face, originating from the trigeminal nerve.  The clinical association between TN and hemifacial spasm is the so called tic douloureux.  It has been described as among the most painful conditions known to mankind.   It is estimated that 1 in 15,000 or 20,000 people suffer from TN, although the actual figure may be significantly higher due to frequent misdiagnosis.  In a majority of cases, TN symptoms begin appearing more frequently over the age of 50, although there have been cases with patients being as young as three years of age.  It is more common in females than males.) about 18 years ago.  She had been on medication (Tegretol, an anti-seizure medication) to control the condition and she had no problems with it until her sodium level and blood pressure dropped very low.  She went to a local ER.  They determined the medication was causing her sodium to drop which caused her blood pressure to drop.  They stopped the medication cold-turkey even though her neurosurgeon had told her she could never stop it cold-turkey.  Long story made short, because they stopped that medication, she started having seizures.  They then started her on another medication (Lyrica) which caused delirium.  After the doctors there finally decided they didn't know what to do, we had her transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  She had laid so long she developed blood clots in her leg which broke loose and went to her lung.

It was the longest 19 days of my life with her in the hospital and not knowing if she would ever be her normal self again.  She still has a long way to go but my mommy is home.  Thank you, all, so very much for the prayers and words of comfort.  Even though we are earthly strangers, we are a praying family of God.
Thank you Jesus ! I'm glad to hear your mom is @ hm ....Prayers go up and blessings come down, lifting you ,your mom,and your family up in prayer. :angel11: :angel11:
