If it is an area where you want to live for reasons other than socializing with neighbors, then doesn't matter whether you are wanted or not.  You have a legal right to live anywhere you want to.

I have for over 30 years, my neighbors would love to get rid of me and I love it that way.

if i lived in a area i was not wanted i would find a new place and move as soon as possible.  I want to know that my neighbors will look out for me like i like to for them.

I am a bit indifferent to how my neighbors perceive me as long as they don't negatively interfere in my life. I grew up on a large property, away from people and have never been close to my neighbors even now that I live in the suburbs. I just don't really understand the point of going out of my way to socialize with my neighbors. I say hi if I see them outside nearby but otherwise I keep to myself.

It would depend if I was being harrassed or something.  I stay pretty much to myself, and I don't mingle much with my neighbors, so it would not bother me if they did not like me.

It would have to depend on how I am being treated.  I probably would not move if I liked the location that I lived in.

I am not a big advocate for getting too close to the people who live closely around you, anyway. Sometimes the less you know about them the better but it's OK to be friendly and speak when you see them.  However, I have always believed in making friends in other places with some space in between you and them as far as where you live.  Friendships seem to last longer when you don't have to see the person everyday and you can choose to see them when you want to.  Just like dating people you work with is bad because if you have a falling out with them, it can be very uncomfortable when you have to see them or work with them everyday whether you want to or not and God forbid if they happen to be your boss.

Absolutely. I do not know if it is because I am naturally contrary, because I have something to prove, or because I think hating someone without reason is stupid. Maybe it is because I find it funny that my very existence is a pain to some people. :angel12: teehee. It probably is that I just like bugging uptight folks. :peace:

We've been in our house for 38 years now and occasionally we talk about selling and moving but now our youngest daughter bought her a house in our neighborhood so not so sure we ever will move.  lol  My daddy was in the air force so we moved a lot when I was growing up so maybe that's why I seem to enjoy being in one place for so long.
