Not only is racism embedded still in the law its everywhere still.   There are still people that are racist.  They make me so mad when they treat others different because of their color or origin.   Its not only racism against the blacks nowdays its against all of the races.   There are some people that think others are considered white trash because they don't meet up to their expectations or because they aren't rich enough or well groomed enough to be in their social world.  So I just get so angry when people judge others because its not right to judge because The good Lord didn't judge you when he put you here so what gives other people the right to judge others because they don't meet their expectations or standards.    To me if everyone would just get along and stop digging up dirt on other people and judging them because of their race or color then the world would and might be a better place to live in and work in.

I believe that racism is embedded in all aspects of our society, whether its dealing with the law or not. This is a very sensitive area and this is something that everyone is not comfortable talking about. However, if racism was ever embedded in law then we will have to assume that it still is embedded in law because I do not believe that any laws have changed that address racism.

Sadly to say, but yes there is racism in government laws, doesn't matter how a person will tried to hide it, it still becomes obvious

Not sure I understand the question, but I'd have to say no.If you're talking about racist people, sure they still exist (and unfortunately given human nature, probably always will. :sad1:) but there are plenty of anti-discrimination laws. You can't legally treat anyone as a second class citizen.Heck, even illegal aliens have rights now.

Actually reverse racism is embedded in the laws currently. Companies are not allowed to hire employees based on their qualifications, but they have to meet quotas and hire based on race and color. Government works the same way.
Real racism occurs in schools. Instead of making sure that all students, no matter what their race, receive a good education, it is automatically assumed that blacks won't score as high on tests as whites, so the tests are adjusted to compensate. If you have a white kid and a black kid (or hispanic, or whatever) in the same class, there is no reason why the black kid doesn't have just as good a chance at passing the test as the white kid. Are they trying to imply that skin color somehow affects the brain or something? I think that is very insulting, and racist.

Your right why is it that whites (skin color alone) are considered for more jobs than any other race. All should be considered no matter the race, or skin color.

racism isn't embedded in law. It is a personal feeling or way people treat others

Yes I see more and more hate crimes and hate murders being committed against white people and the racist system will not give equal civil rights to the unfortunate victims because they are white. Reverse racism, and pure racism is happening and racists that commit hate crimes and hate murders are not being charged to the fullest extent! I agree with other posters earlier who mentioned political correctness is totally out of hand and needs to be nipped in the but! :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

The law bends over backwards to not be racist.  Unfortunately there seems to be racism aplenty in the minds of some.

I frankly don't understand how anyone can say there is racism still embedded in the law.I mean I'm pretty sure a little something called the Civil Rights movement happened that dealt with any such elements that may have existed.

Currently there is no racism in law in the US federal statutes. However, the way the laws are enforced, and even which laws are enforced certainly demonstrate quite clearly that racism is exercised regardless of the actual laws as written.

Eric Holder refuses to bring New Black Panther members to account for blatant violations of the federal election laws is just one of many instances of obvious racism being exercised by those that administer the law. Another example would be Janet Napolaitano refusing to enforce immigration statutes because it could offend Mexicans. They even insist on individual states not exercise their sovereign rights to enforce their laws.

Sadly there does exist racism in law ENFORCEMENT or lack there of, just not the type this question is baiting an argument over...

Why do people say reverse racism? As if white people are the only people who can have hateful beliefs. It just so happens that in America white people have more political power.

Racism is not going anywhere. It will be with us forever. We can take a bit out of it. But we can not fully get rid of it.
