Personally I would say yes, however, who am I to determine what is right for society... I'm an optimist and has been proven that optimists live a happier life, so why isn't everyone an optimist?

yes... dont get me wrong horror is great...but most now are just disgusting gore and not scary...good ol thrillers are the best   "Iwill set before me eyes no vile thing...psalm 101:3"
