smoker or non smoker

It seemed that smoking was the good day, but I have not smoked in about 7 years and now when I be around smoke it bothers my breathing and I can not stand the smell at all.   The smoking commercials that they are showing now on television is scaring knowing that a persons health can become that serious and life threatening.

I think where I live has a lot to do with one reason I smoke. I was raised in NC on a tobacco farm. I worked on the farm from the time I was old enough to remember until I got out of high school and got my first job in "town". And even after that I would help for extra money. I come from a big tobacco community, and that's just how we made our living.

Bravo!!!  Keep up the good fight you will get there!!!  I know I was a smoker about 9 yrs. ago and tried many times to quit and finally I did!!!!  The key is willpower (but, I must admit the patch helps too)!!!!  Good luck!!!!

i hate being around people dat smokes; i can't breathe if someone is smoking around me. Dat is why i'm so happy dat my mom was able to quit on her own. i'm proud of her; she is saving her life by doing dat.

Never been a smoker.  I never understood the attraction to it.  Then again, like everyone in my extended family smokes or smoked and I think from a young age I never liked the smell or coughing if I breathed in too much.

I am a smoker, I smoke less than a pack a day compared to the pack and a half I was smoking two weeks ago.   I am slowly weening myself from smoking and by doing this I tend to want to sleep alot or find things to keep me busy such as searching on the internet or reading a book, or watching tv.
