I am amongst the masses that has gone completely black/straight.  It is kind of funny that, prior to five years ago, I never touched the stuff! I took on a part time job as a barista to help a friend and because the economy was so bad.  Some of the people were ordering candy bar-like coffee drinks and I general had some left over after making their coffee. Instead of wasting the leftover I started drinking the excess and found it to be really good! I weaned myself off of the sugary drinks to a carmel macciato at starbucks for a year and about two yeas ago freed myself from dependency on all additives.

I like my coffee with plenty of sugar and cream. The frosty coffees from starbucks are great when it is very hot outside.

In somebody else's cup. lol.  I just don't like it.  I have tried to drink it but I just can't.  I have to have caffeine free.
I do like some of the coffee creamers added to hot chocolate.

noticing alot of people drink it black nowadays....

I love coffee and I will drink it anyway. I like to put a little creamer and sugar in it early in the mornings. When everyone takes off for what ever they have planned for the day and there is some left in the pot I may drink it over ice or just drink it black. The only way I do not like it though is if there is sugar in it then I have to have some creamer. I tried expresso one time and it gave me the jitters for several hours,HA!HA!
