Nice and quiet.  My wife and I can make our own noise.

Peace and quiet. Not too many people. Yes, it gets worse the older you get.

There are very few places you can go anymore to find peace and quiet. Too bad really.  :(

Good Morning!
I, too, have found that I am aging I prefer the quieter atmosphere.  Couldn't get enough noise when I was younger but I like the quiet, peacefulness now.
Have a wonderful day!

I like it more noisy than quiet... Now I don't like loud noise, but some type of background noise is good. If it's too quiet, I tend to get antsy, like there is something wrong. I know in college I would get more studying done in my dorm room where there was usually something going on in the hall or a neighboring room rather than in the library where it got too quiet. Even when I'm at work, I am usually listening to Pandora for some background music. There are only a few rare times (usually when I've got something complex to think about or if I'm stressed to do a bunch of things at the same time) when the noise becomes distracting and I'll need to turn off the music and shut my office door, but for the most part, I'd rather it be noisy.

Definitely quiet because I was an only child and used to just being alone. But now that I have kids I do prefer the noise from time to time. Love the laughter and fun, but love my quiet time a well.

I've always preferred a quiet environment myself.  Ever since I was a kid.  A noisy atmosphere makes me feel uneasy and nervous.  I didn't realize how much so until this question was posted and I defer to last nights fireworks spectacular my husband presented.  I had my niece and my daughter sitting on my lap...First Graders.  (My daughter is a chatter box) While relaxing while each pop exploded in the air with 3D colors right above us I was calm...at peace.  Regardless of the chaos teenagers among us bring to the atmosphere.  We had 1 rule.  NO IPODS< PHONES< OR screens were allowed to run while the fireworks were being done.  After the fireworks we settled around a bon fire and two of the kids had there music blaring from one of there screens.  I immediately got a kink in my neck.. my stress level sky rocketed and the noise just bothered me.  My husband and I came in once the fire died down while the older kids and one adult stayed outside to supervise.  The quiet in our home felt like a warm cup of coffee pm a beach I had all to myself.

I like it quiet for the most part. Some times a little noise is not bad for you.

Relatively quiet .... tv or music on in background is fine, but not too much chatter.....

Depends upon what the noise is but I think for the most part I would prefer quiet.  I listen to music while I'm on the internet and I enjoy that but when I am with my two grown sons they "bicker" quite a bit and that bothers me.  I live alone since my hubby passed away and I find I enjoy the peace and quiet.  (miss him don't get me wrong but I like being by myself).

Morning all,

I notice as I get older noise gets to be  a little to much most
of the time , for example at work or at a restaurant, etc.

What type of environment do you like most of the time or does
it matter to you at all?

I like it to be quiet. As I get older it seems that loud noises bother me. Like my house quiet also.

When I was younger I enjoyed lots of noise and the night clubbing life.  But now that I am older the enjoyable times for me are peace and quiet just being able to sit, relax and read a good book or watch a good movie.  :)
