Great positive changes
« on: July 30, 2013, 07:38:27 pm »
I was gone for a few days on vacation. We had a great time in ocean shores Washington. When we got home we started our own painting business here in Yakima Washington. My husband dream of being a business owner has come true. I also got a job today and start work in 2 weeks. I have been unemployed since May 2013 and I am not able to go back to what I have done for the past 13 years. Now we are both starting new chapters personally and as a family. I guess I did pray loud enough.....

Awesome, good to see positive outcomes for taking a chance and putting yourself out there for new experiences.

I'm thinking a great positive change would be to get my computer fixed or replaced!  That way I can get back to being able to complete a survey on FC once in a while!  lol

I am so happy for you.  It sounds like positive changes have opened up great opportunities for both of you.

Owning your own business is not easy.  I thought it would be great not to have a "boss", but then every client/customer is your boss when you run a business.  Sometimes it is hard to make them happy with your services.  Remind your husband that it is a product of their lives and experience when they are nasty, not necessarily his fault.  Can you tell that I had my own business a long time?  LOL  It was a real estate company.

I wish all the best for you both.

Nice way to end your vacation. Hard to really relax sometimes when you have a lot on your mind, but that is what we need to gain perspective.  Sounds like things are looking up!

The whole family enrolled in gym classes and we are starting our own family business. Also, I am embarking on another business that I think will buy me more time to be with my family but I am very nervous about it because of an issue but everything is starting to look good.

Prayers always work and also you have to make the effort to help yourself.  Good to hear things have turned around for you.

Way to go!  I love to hear the positive instead of the negative!  So many use the forum to gripe about being unemployed or not getting any where.  You have re-instilled my belief in the junction where hard work meets success.  You have made your own destiny and I hope that others become as inspired by your story as I have!  I work two full time jobs to catch up on a downturn that my businesses took but am almost ready to jump into the fray again! Slow and easy at first because I have to continue to work hard in order to support an expensive family!
