I've never done that but one of my daughters used to do it all the time when her kids were smaller.  They wouldn't eat anything in a restaurant so she would go thru drive-thru at McDonalds and get the kids something to eat and carry it into a restaurant.  I wouldn't have done that but she sure didn't mind doing it.  I don't think anyone ever said anything to her though so I guess they didn't mind it too much.  lol

I used to do that with my oldest son when he was about 5 years old. He loves pizza and when we go out to eat especially at Chinese buffet, we always take his pizza from pizza hut there. The Chinese restaurant owner sees us as frequent customers to his establishment that he understands my little guy likes pizza. Sometimes when you get to know the people who owns the restaurant, and let them know ahead of time they will understand. That was only for my little guy though. I don't think I will ever do that as an adult, Just doesn't feel right. With kids, Sure why not!!!

Yea I have done that. I usually buy my food some place and meet my friends at another restaurant - cuz either I don't fell like eating there or it's cheaper.

No, but sometimes adults will take a kid to McDonald's and get something and then go to where they want to go.
As an adult I wouldn't want to do this for myself.  But if somebody else does then oh well.

Wait, I have if you count when I worked in fast food and I wanted something else to eat. lol

I'm what most people consider to be a pick eater, so I love a variety of foods. I always buy food from one restaurant to pair with an entree at another restaurant. It sounds a little strange, but it's my way of doing things.

Never done that or saw it done.  Normally I can figure out something to eat there or I won't bother getting anything at all.

No, I don't remember ever doing that.  I can see it with a little kid because some kids are very picky, but my parents never had to since I wasn't picky.  It would be better to teach them to eat what the family is eating though, at home or at a restaurant.  It teaches adaptability.

If I go shopping with people and we want different foods, we will buy our food at whatever restaurant and eat at one.

Yes, we have always different cravings so we get from one restaurant that i like and then bring to one restaurant that my husband what to eat. especially if we are in the mall.
