How do you get rid of your headaches...?

If I have a headache and drink a coke or pepsi it goes away instantly, but I am trying to give up pop. I have tried resting because I was so tired, I tried distracting myself, aspirin, fresh air and NOTHING is working. What do you use to get rid of your headache?

it sounds like a caffeine headache--your body is in withdrawl from not having any caffeine--and until your body gets use to not having any you may get these headaches often--ice tea may be something you can drank --as far as the headache tho i turn off the lights and put a cold cloth on my eyes --hope this helps and good luck with the no sodas --i dont drank them either and i feel so much better for quitting!!

   Avoid caffeine-coffee. Drink hot tea or hot chocolate because it has calcium and iron. Drink lots of water. Listen to good music and avoid loud and noisy music.

What I do to get rid of a headache is I go lay down to rest my eyes and go to sleep...when I wake up my headache be gone. Sometimes I may take a aspirin for it but most of the time I just rather rest my head

Luckily I don't get headaches often but to get rid of them I just lay down, watch tv and maybe drink a cold glass of water.

the real way to help get rid of a banging headache is to sleep for about 8-9 hours and eat something.

Oh, I think you have caffeine addictions....slowly wean yourself off

I send them back to their parents.     It all depends on what is causing the headache.  Lack of fluids, stress, tension, too much carbon dioxide, blood pressure.  Each has a different type of headache and a different kind of treatment.  But for you run of the mill headache I take a couple of aspring and go take a nap.

try putting a cool wet cloth over your eyes, lie down in the dark for a few minutes. always works for me

I take 4 of the 200mg ibuprofen, over the counter.  (my pharmacist that I used to work for suggested this)
Take them all at one time and make sure you have something on your stomach.  The soda works because of
the caffeine.  Maybe you could take the ibuprofen with just a quarter or half glass soda.

I have headaches for years. I have found that drinking water can help since sometime being dehydrated can cause the headache.
