As I recall the FACTS of the entire AFCA situation, Republicans were specifically excluded from every aspect of it, so blaming that party for anything good or bad with the entire act is ludicrous. As far as the LAW is concerned, the HOUSE is the sole introducer of all spending measures, that is the Constitution's mandate. The House is free to fund that which they seem to be desired by the populace, they are the 'closest to the people' and that is why they hold exclusive authority to submit spending bills. Ergo, be it rightly or wrongly their perception that the POPULACE does or doesn't want THEIR monies spent in a certain way, well that is just the way it is, period, end of discussion. House members stand for elections every two years, they are subject to being removed almost immediately if they conduct themselves against the wishes of their constituents. Again, end of discussion. The Senate has NO SAY in what is sent to them from the House, although in recent times they have been allowed to make some suggestive input, they have no responsibility or authority to decide what will be submitted by the House. SO, very simply, the Senate can pass or ignore any bill as its leadership so deems. Don't try to shift the blame to the Republican Party for any part of theSenate's own refusal to act as they Constitution instructs. But that assumes that one actually cares what the Constitution says in the first place.

At times there is this radical GOV part that thinks they know what the people want. When this portion of radical House of Reps are being led by Tea Party people who do not speak for everyone then you have a part of GOV who is running a base of a small percentage of people, who thinks mostly of them and not all Americans and this why the House has not done it's job. This is not the time they should be fighting for something they had a chance to fight against 3 years ago, move on cause your hurting American people who feel that this is not your playground to play with.

The Obama Administration already delayed the insurance mandate for employers for a year. I'm really not sure what is so radical about asking for the same delay for the individual mandate. The new subsidized insurance markets are open, and would remain open for those seeking to buy insurance. A compromise shouldn't be too hard to reach.

And you believe that the tiny handful of people in the House and US Senate are NOT radical by forcing through the ACA in the first place? Questionable methods of pushing it through with a conciliation bill aside, the Democrat Party intentionally kept all debate and consultation away from the Republicans when this abomination got put in place. Don't forget that the very creation of the TEA party was greatly influenced because of this RADICAL action. Next it will be denied that this ACA is a total disaster in every way possible. Then deny that every single aspect that Obama touted about this abortion was an absolute lie, to include the $2500 average premium reduction for policy buyers that are now more like a 5$5000 to $7500 INCREASE! Keeping your policy if you like it... LIE!! Of course just ignore the fact that all policies have to include maternity benefits, regardless of the age of the owner, tell that to your grandmother... I could go on but this is sufficient for now...

People are entitled to their own opinions. I will not agree with radicals, that is my opinion and I am entitled to it.

They lost 40 times now its time move on because do not think you can slide something in and cause a shut down and not have a backlash. What is going to happen is Democrats is going to win the Senate and House next Elections. Then all this will be done for nothing as always with GOP. I'm glad their showing face. I am hoping more Independents will get in office and X out GOP.

The government shutdown does not really bother me. I do not really care really. Congress decided to shut down the government over Obamacare. The democrats and republicans, and Obama have yet to decide what they want to do to together agree on a budget. I heard the shutdown was indefinite until further notice. Lot of people don't like it. But I just don't care anymore.

At this juncture there is about 17-18% of 'government services' that are being shut down. That is pretty significant when it has become pretty obvious that 99% of Americans have not even noticed it! That is probably putting a panic in the establishment politicians of both parties, and even more so for the apparatchiks that run things! What? The country doesn't really NEED all this crud? :)  Right now, the Senate is sitting on bills from the House that will restore most of the funding for those areas effected, and new bills will be sent over to handle the rest of the existing programs and services. The Senate should vote on each of these measures, yay or nay, and forward those that pass on to the President for his action. There is nothing complicated about this debacle at all, the House holds the purse strings as designed by the Constitution and have done their job. No one has to like it or dislike it, they have done the job given them and it is up to the Senate to do do theirs.

The reality is that the funds required to run the nations needs have and/or are being appropriated as needed. The Senate is holding these measures up. That is it in a nutshell.

It's mostly the Republicans' fault for trying to block Obamacare. This makes no sense, since Obamacare is based on a plan originally created by Republicans! Republican Mitt Romney used the plan in Massachusetts & it works very well. Now they're wrecking our country to stop their own creation...just to spite the President!!
