The whole point of a wish list is to write down things you wish to have. If you have a wish list and get 1 item off that list i thing it would be great! We use to go pull names off the angel tree in the mall and get a few items off the said person's wish list.. Since they were less fortunate then i was.. I did rather get a few items they wanted followed by a decent amount of clothing..I know it's not a wish to get clothing but keeping warm during holidays is never a bad idea and who know's they may need the clothes! I do love the concept of wish lists.. I do rather enjoy the expression on people's face as they get something they had their eyes on for a while or been wanting for a while. Even if i don't see their face the factor is still they i can just imagine it  and it makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy!

Last year I did.  I never expect too though, I usually knock these items off my list myself throughout the year but I'll let it be known if asked on bday and Christmas that this is what I want.  I'm a pretty content person, my kids are healthy and my bills are paid so even if my kids just enjoy their Christmas I'm overjoyed, and this is what I told my son yesterday when he asked what I want (as if his 8 year old self has any money lol).  My wish list so far includes:  MAC lipstick (which my bf is getting me), a couple of tuxedo dresses, a large pink purse, a water filter, and one of those things you put small bars of soap into and it turns them into a cream to reuse the soap- I think I want this the most lol

I agree, this is why I often times ask what people want.  My ex husband says that takes away the surprise but I'd rather know my gift is being used and not in the back of someone's closet.

Talk about a "Wish List!"  Check out what WestJet and SANTA did for THEIR customers!  This was awesome!

:snowman: Yes in a way because my wish any more has nothing to do with gifts and material things but rather that I have loved ones to be with, happiness and peace and good food to eat.  Hope your wishes all come true.

I agree with you totally! The main thing on my wish list is being able to spend time with my sons and new grand-daughter. I especially would like to see my middle son who has been away about 4 years now. He is in the Air Force and has been deployed over-seas. I think that would make for a wonderful present! I really miss him terribly! Maybe before long; I will get to see him as he just got orders to be stationed at Nellis in Nevada. I'm not much of a flyer but I might have to have a change of heart when he gets state-side.

At my age i don't really need anything. But my wish list is for my family and friends to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year. To all be safe, well and happy.

No - but I do get what I ask for.  ;)

I know some people don't believe in making out Christmas lists, but our family does and it greatly reduces getting items that you have no desire or need for.

I usually stick to people's Xmas list but if I know they need something and it's not on the list sometimes I do go ahead it get it for them.

I never make a wish list, sometimes I get what I want and sometimes I don't...if not I just take what is given. I don't really expect much

I went window shopping at the mall yesterday and saw this purse I really liked.  It looked like a cross between a purse and a briefcase.  It was only $30, but I'm a habitual saver so I decided not to get it and my cousin said I would regret it later.  Low and behold, the next day I'm still thinking about it.  I've compromised by saying I'm taking the kids to window shop at the mall next month (after the bills are paid) and if it's still there and I still want it after looking all over the mall I'll treat myself, which I've just come to terms with doing over the last year because for some reason I'll spend a lot on my kids but feel guilty about spending on myself.

No one's around so I buy myself something I've wished for...one or two items at the holidays depending on the price...it's like that commercial...I think you're worth it 8)
