Life Is a Struggle: You Only Bring Peace when You Die
« on: January 12, 2014, 12:54:43 am »
That sounds a little depressing, and I could have worded it "You Only Bring Peace when You Passively Instruct Your 'Apostles' ('the ones you send out')"; but I wanted to show how the Buddhist truth "Life is suffering" was 'proven' by comparing Jesus' ministry as He lived with the ministry that started after He 'died' (and rose again and ascended).

(He could have lived 'the easy life'--telling everybody He was 'the Anointed One' and thus they must fulfill His every wish or else be smitten by smite-ful smiting from above--but He wouldn't even allow His disciples to reveal that He was The Anointed One during His ministry!

(And He beckons us to follow after Him ... He promises not to make it any easier, but He proves that we will Ascend in the end!

(I observe that it kinda echoes the comparison between 'King Solomon's wars & struggles' of Proverbs & 'King Solomon's aged wisdoms' of Ecclesiastes---'Vanity of vanities; life is vanity ...'  )

No one was promised a life without struggle.  Everyone (the rich, the poor, the religious, the non-religious) has their struggles.  A person either decides to let the struggles bring them down,  or decides to be appreciative of what is going right and sees the joy in life.

It would be debatable as to whether or not everyone finds peace when they die.

Life is about learning, experiencing and finding joy.  Experiencing challenges does not require suffering.  God does not require suffering.  Man makes things harder than they have to be.  :peace:

God does not require suffering.

He does if you compare the pains of life to the comfort of the afterlife.

You can have peace before you die.  The peace is not the absence of suffering, it is knowing you are a child of God and where you will spend the afterlife.

You only live once. Enjoy your life while you can because life is short for some!

Go back in your Bible and read about Adam and Eve because we have them to thank for the struggle.

You can have peace before you die.  The peace is not the absence of suffering, it is knowing you are a child of God and where you will spend the afterlife.

::) Living in America, I HAVE trillions of dollars. But I can't USE ANY OF IT! I'm LIVING the afterlife! It IS the same as the 'during-life' (as Jesus said, "What you hold true on Earth will be held true in Heaven.") If your peace is held within, so shall your Heaven be.

Not if you believe Jesus is Christ!

Oh, and so--when you emerged from the church--the problems weren't right where you left them?
