Reality TV has been like a virus to television networks, I'm so tired of them.

I mean :-\ don't we watch TV to get away from reality?

I don't have Direct TV but get so absolutely tired of turning to the Weather Channel and getting a reality show. Their programming changed when NBC bought them. I'm even using weather.gov now instead of weather.com. I turn to a channel now with a constant forecast.

I've never heard of Weather Nation before. Hope it works out for you.

Oh! no! The Weather Channel should look for a substitute channel to do their programming. I personally think: No other program can substitute the Weather Channel.

I get Weather Nation on broadcast.  I used to wake up to Weather Channel when I chased hot air balloons, but don't want to pay for TV these days.  My brother likes to watch WC, in Michigan, and has told me how they changed.  They're going the way of MTV.  I liked that in the beginning when it was all music videos with rock star guest VJ's, but lost interest when they changed to "reality" shows.  :dontknow:

I agree with you 100% on both the weather channel and MTV

I am glad I am not the only one. There are so many shows that people talk about and I have never seen them once.

My husband really checked the Weather Channel every morning and sometimes during the day too if bad weather was coming.  We didn't like the fact that they were turning it into reality tv but we could at least get our local forecasts on the Weather Channel.  This other channel is not good at all and we have not been able to find our local weather on it at all.  I hope they reach an agreement and put it back on Directv.  I have the app on my iphone so we use it now to check local weather.

Supposedly weather nation is updating there information in 2014 and will be better prepared to give the weather. I agree with you right now it is difficult to find what you are looking for while on the weather channel you always had the local on the 8s. I guess we shall see.

Like was said above: accuweather.com I don't know if they are available on the devices, but they beat television hands-down!

Direct TV has had problems with several stations.  The Weather Channel has changed a lot.
