« on: January 26, 2014, 09:16:21 am »
:( :(What does everyone think of the January deep freeze? Our heating bills are astronamical and too many cars are getting stuck in their driveways! The kids love this weather, though because they get a lot of snow days! They said on the weather that we'regetting a couple more weeks of snow along with the continuing deep feeze! Anyone out there want to move to Florida???????????

I had enough of it already. I can't wait for spring to get here. Soon I hope.

I just about had enough of the cold weather and I'm ready for spring to come in. I never liked winter just because of the cold weather and snow

This deep freeze is unreal.  It's unbearable and what next.

We went from 65 to 25 as the high here in Middle Tenn. over night.   I'm ready for warm weather.

I am hating it! Don't mind the snow too much but cannot take this extreme cold. Plus with the LP shortage, I have turned the thermostat down to 67 to save on fuel. I called this morning and it is $5.25 a gallon right now!!! That means it would cost us almost $2,000 to have our tank filled. Still at 40% so hoping to make it last longer and the price will come down.

Our heating bills have been outrageous as well!  It's 0 degrees right now here in KY with a windchill in the negative teens!  I can't wait for a warm spring!!!

Yes, it is quite bad.  With today and tomorrow and the 2 days in earlier Januarly there will be 4 days of schools closed in Wisconsin.

I'm pretty much burrowed in my house the next couple of days.  We hit a balmy -5 for a high today, and they expect the lows tonight to hit -20 (not counting wind chill).

With how the temps have been bouncing up and down, I've likened people in my area to the animals out there.  We burrow during the deep freeze, then on the day or two that warms up to double digits above zero we are all out scurrying about gathering supplies for the next deep freeze burrowing days.

All I can say is I'm very thankful to be a telecommuter on days like these!

So far this year the weather here has been up and down so fast.  Still dry, which we will regret in a few months come time to plant.

Well, I already live in Florida, and it's freezing here too.  I'm ready for it to be spring and not have to wake up to frozen pipes.
