I know how to drive a standard but wouldn't want one. To much trouble imo.

Yeah in fact I went back to autistic and had a brainfart. I was trying to shift gears.

Unless and until I can afford a Ferrari, I refuse to learn to drive a standard.

I drive an automatic, I haven't driven a stick shift since I was young, probably couldn't do it now.

My first vehicle was a standard shift, a 5-speed stick on the floor. I loved driving with it so much every vehicle I bought up until my most recent one was a standard shift. I always felt it helped to focus more on driving; maybe I can attest to that by saying I have had only one accident in the 40+ years I've been driving.

I drive a stick shift, but obviously know how to drive an automatic.....honestly, i'm not a huge fan of the stick shifts, especially in traffic/bad weather, but it's definitely good to know how to drive one....and apparently, they are better for the car (not quite sure how though)....

I have never learned how to drive a standard shift vehicle.  I have always had automatic vehicles.

I actually took my driving test on a standard shift vehicle. I prefer them to an automatic.

I can drive both automatic and standard shift. I prefer automatic. After 20 years of driving, I still get nervous when you stop at a traffic light going up a hill while driving a standard shift.

I know it sounds weird to some but I don't know how to drive a standard shift vehicle simply because I have never tried to.  At this point I doubt that will ever change.
