Have you ever noticed?
« on: March 17, 2014, 05:17:57 am »
Have you ever noticed how the topics on the FC Surveys rarely relate to the actual content of the surveys?  I just took a Fun Vacation Survey that only asked me about my use of tech devices....not really related.  Well , I didn't qualify anyway but I thought it was funny.

This happens to me all the time and I think it's kind of funny.  The reason this happens is because a lot of times you might get DQ'd after the first couple of questions and it automatically reroutes you to another survey (often without letting you know).  I've started referring to the FC Surveys as the FC Grab Bag, because you never know what you're going to get.  It might say it's a "Fun Commercial Survey" that pays 35 cents but ends up being a tech survey that pays 75 cents.  For this reason I always attempt all the FC Surveys even if it doesn't sound like something I'd qualify or even if it shows a low payment because I know there's a good chance that I'll end up pleasantly surprised.

Yes, I have started out doing what I thought was a dogfood survey only to end up doing something about vactions or other non related things. That is ok as long as I get paid for something.

If a survey gets filled it will automatically reroute you to another survey from usually the same company. FC has it listed as what it originally is but by the time we get it to it several surveys make have cycled through the same link

That happens to me fairly often also.  I sometimes wonder how they name their surveys.

I attempt every survey because lots of time I don't qualify for the first survey but may for a second one... I'll stop trying after 3 attempts because I figure if they haven't found one for me by then, the chances aren't good

Every now and then I will find a survey that matches the subject, but you are so right. We should get credit when we can give the correct subject line, lol.

Generally, I do not qualify for the original survey offered but then am accepted when asked if I would like to continue. It will always be a survey completely different from the original one.

This is due to auto-rerouting.  You were probably DQ'd from the original survey (or it was full) and auto rerouted to another survey.  If you watch the URL at the bottom of the page you will notice it bouncing around a few times before a survey is brought up, this is it rerouting thru different survey providers looking for one to match you to.

Yes this has happened to me several times. Sometimes it is related to the content of the survey. I just hope in the end I qualify for the survey.

It's always amazes me how different the survey can be from the title presented.  After reading this thread, I have a better understanding of how they just reroute you without letting you know.  It doesn't really matter as long as you get to take the survey, but sometimes I'm choosing my surveys by the number of minutes stated if I'm on a time crunch.  Then the new survey can be much longer than the original survey was supposed to be, and I don't have time to complete it.
