I will keep you in my prayers and offer you this:  In November of 2013 I had knee surgery - arthroscopic to fix a torn meniscus.  Although my doctor didn't indicate any damage to ligaments, I do believe there must have been some, but, on a bright note - my surgery went well and I was back to normal in about 6 wks.  Of course, my arthritis is never going to go away so I still deal with that.  But, don't worry - you should come out fine!!!

My uncle who is 90 and a tennis player, well not sure if he still plays at 90 but know he did.He had his knee replaced maybe 10 years ago and said it was the best thing he ever did. Suppose you'd rather not if you don't have to so best of luck.

Honestly, if they told me we will "Try" this but if it doesn't work we will need to do a total knee replacement...
I would say go ahead and do the total replacement.  Otherwise you just end up having to have surgery twice.

Do hope things go well for you.

Sorry, not trying to be negative but I am just down on doctors.  I had a similar situation and I was like so why didn't we just do it freakin right to start with?  Oh because this way YOU get more money!

Hopefully what 6265AT99 had to say ends up the path your surgery takes you.  I've never had knee surgery.  In fact I don't know anyone who has.  Since Spring is in the air at least you will be able to recover with summer ahead to soon enjoy the outdoors again.  I've had surgery on my foot and it was such a drag as I too am one to go go go.  I wish I'd known about fusion cash back than to kill the time.  I'll be be praying for you.

God bless, and sending healing thoughts and prayers! :star: My cousin, who's in her 40s, had total knee replacement recently. It might not be such a bad thing.  :) Doctors work magic these days, and the Lord will be looking after you. Just take it extra easy and you'll be just fine. Take care!!! :rose:
