I like dog better too. I think cats are kinda emotional... :-\
And I prefer big dog than small ones, aha ! Cause I like to hug them, the feeling when I hug a big dog just like I hug my bf !

I'm definitely a dog person.  Don't get me wrong, I don't hate cats but I agree that dogs are much more friendly and better to have in the house than cats.

I have 3 wonderful dogs and 2 cats, all rescues, at the moment.  I love my dogs dearly and love my cats as well.  However, these are the meanest cats I think I've ever known in my life.  They are a brother and sister and she is slightly more well-behaved then him.  I guess that makes up for all the trouble he gets into.  Between the two of them, they have managed to tear up one chair in the living room, shred the carpet in the living room and master bedroom, totally destroyed the mini-blinds on three windows, clawed the wallpaper in the kitchen and laundry room, break numerous items by knocking them (and even in a couple of cases actually pushing) them off shelves and counters, spread litter into every single nook and cranny of the house, bitten and scratched every member of the family and beaten the dogs into absolute submission.  There are a ton of cat toys and scratching posts around the house but I guess those are too good to pull their claws on and chew on.  lol  I will keep and love these cats until they go gentle into that good night but I will never have another cat in my house again.  Ever.  I've had more stress and more extra work from these two cats than I ever have from any dog I've had.

Getting on the counters, stove and tables is an absolute no-no in my home even though I know they do it all the time when we are asleep or away from home.  I think a cat on the counters/tables/stove is the filthiest thing ever.

I like both.  But I particularly like other people's cats and dogs.  Get all the joy of the animal without having to care for them.

Oh, I am definitely a dog person.  Cats can be lovely but I wouldn't want anything in the house that scratchs his litter then jumps on the countertop that I fix food on! Yuk!! and believe me, every one's cats jumps on the counter whether they believe it or not.

I'm just an animal person in general.  I used to prefer cats until we found out my son was severely allergic to them so we've only had dogs since then.  Even though my son is grown and moved away now, I'm just used to having dogs now and wouldn't trade them for anything.  And with four dogs in the house I wouldn't even consider getting a cat at this point.  It just wouldn't be fair to the cat!
