I haven't heard that at all.  As a matter of fact, last I heard about mail delivery was the USPS was thinking of cutting BACK days they deliver the mail.  LOL, we might as well go back to Pony Express!

Amazon has been using the postal service to make deliveries on weekends since December. Mail still isn't really being delivered . They actually want to cut down to just doing mail on weekdays and only packages on weekends

How in the crap are they gonna do that?  They just said a few months ago they were cutting BACK to 5 days a week.  Although it never happened.  I kind of doubt Amazon could buy the US postal service but now that you mention it - it could happen I guess.

I never heard of that. I order from Amazon all the time and never got anything delivered on a Sunday. Or any other mail for the fact. I heard that they were cutting back mail delivery days as well.

Really?  Curious as to where you live.  The still deliver mail in my area on Saturdays.  It is stupid to only deliver packages on weekends.  If you are going to drive all over creation anyway then they might as well bring the mail with them not just packages.

I heard they were thinking to cut back too.  Computers, internet, instant downloads... there isn't as much mail as there used to be.  As for bringing packages, but not letters on weekends... they're sorted separately, packages take up more space, may contain urgent medical supplies and can be perishable, but letters won't spoil and rarely contain anything urgent (like bank notices) that can be handled on weekends.

mail on Sundays,,,  I don't think so.  I am surprised there is still mail on Saturdays.  I mostly get junk mail that i toss in the garbage.    Before to long i imagine the mail will go down to just several days a week  lol

They currently still deliver mail on Saturdays. They've been talking about only doing packages on weekends for about a year and a half now.  It was suppose to go in effect last August. Far less people get packages through USPS than they get regular mail so it would save money. They make far more delivering a package than they do just the envelopes

If the USPS brings some good news on Sundays is OK.
If the USPS brings some bad news...please not on Sundays! Wait at least until Monday morning!

Well, now that's something I haven't heard of yet.  We don't even get UPS or any sort of deliveries on Sundays in my area.

Yeah, I just ordered something on Amazon and it should be here on Sunday. Quite strange and I feel kind of bad for those postal workers who will take three hours out of their day to deliver packages.

I never heard of that before. Getting mail on Sunday; I think it is a little too much. I would not open my mail box on Sundays.

I dont' know.  in the very olden days most businesses were closed on Sunday...even the mall.  Times have changed.  I liked the simplicity and family focus and even religious beliefs to be off on Sunday...
