What kind of social media do you participate in, facebook, instagram or  twitter? I do nothing, but email and texting. I have a twitter account, but do not use it.

I Instagram, mainly to see my neices & nephews pictures.   It seems to be the social media the younger crowd are using these days.   Facebook is just about done, unless you're over 40.

I use Facebook and Twitter. Facebook is my primary social media site though. I go there the most.

Guess I'm part of the 40+ crowd using Facebook...LOL!!  I have a twitter account which I use infrequently.  Just got a smartphone last year so do quite a bit of texting now.

I participate in Twitter, to keep up with certain pro wrestlers that I look up to, or find their lives interesting. I used to be anti-social media but have relaxed my stance. I think I'm more, pro-pay attention to those who are talking to you.

I use Facebook mostly to keep up with what all my relatives are doing. I rarely post anything to Facebook myself although I comment and "like" a lot on other people's postings.

I'm on Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ - but Twitter's the only one I sort of use.  I find it entertaining to follow some celebrities who are either funny or have an internet presence.  I'm finding how the celebs respond to occasional tweets seem to make them more accessible to the masses - having the possibility of having your tweet responded or re-tweeted, vs the hand-written fan mail that you would get a canned publicity letter in the old days.  I can see the appeal of that.

The other 2, I really don't use - joined LI for work, but rarely keep it updated; and G+ as other friends signed up for it, but now they rarely use it either.

Twitter is about my attention span too.

I did recently try joining a Twitter Chat for that SyFy movie, Sharknado 2, and I was surprised how fun it was.  If you are good at keeping one eye on a twitter feed while watching a movie/show where you really don't have to sit and "watch" it - reading people's comments as the show progresses can give you that collective feel - particularly when everyone is making fun of the same thing.  I had a blast and a lot of laughs.  I may need to try that out again sometime.

Face book and youtube for the most part. Those are really all I need, however I do have a twitter and will probably join all those in the future when I am bugged into joining them. The way the world works.
