I never have felt comfortable spending money I don't have. I try my best to save as well as spend.
I have money for an emergency because I have saved over time. I am not able to get out to go shopping. That situation helps me to focus on when I do my online shopping. I set up my purchases month to month so I have what I need in a continuous flow.

Sometimes it is hard and we don't seem to have enough money to go for every expense that comes up. I do a couple of the get paid sites and everything I earn I have it go directly to a paypal account. I never take anything from that account unless and emergency comes up or it is for Christmas. This works out great for me, I have been able to keep myself very disiplined in not getting into it. I actually have a few hundred dollars in it now, makes it easier to come up with gifts for the holidays, or even emergency car repair.

If I don't have the money for it then I don't need it. I'm too young to go into debt.

No, for most regular purchases and emergencies I use either cash or a prepaid debit card. It's easier for me because I can't spend what I don't have.

Now that I am older and my kids are grown and on their own, I have been able to pay off all my debts. I do still use a credit card for most of my purchases but I never carry a balance on my credit card. I pay it off each month, but you do have to keep track so you don't overspend. Now I am using their money all month and only paying once a month.

I don't have credit cards at all. We used to use the but they're soooo hard to pay off that we cancelled them all.  If we can;t pay for it now we dont do it.

Who doesn't like being able to buy whatever they want when ever they want?  Some people use credit cards only for necessities and other people use them to buy the latest greatest electronics.

Either way.  I thought it was interesting a girl was at Lowe's yesterday and while standing at the register paying for $230 worth of random crap tells the cashier she is homeless and her iphone was messed up because she was using it in the rain (because she is homeless).  Smh.  She was with about 3 other people.  Just thought that was odd.

natashaspy- Credit cards are good to have if you need them.  You can have them and not use them unless it is an emergency.  There are a lot of people right now that are having to use credit cards just to survive. And no matter what the stupid government tells the people the economy is NOT getting any better. Only worse from what I see.

I use my credit card pretty regularly but it is just to help build credit.  I always pay it off in full each month.  I do like having it available for emergencies too.

It is great having it for a back up in case of emergency.  But it also great not to have any money on the cards.

I use my credit card for everything, including emergencies.  I pay the bill in full every month.  I don't have any debt.

it's important to establish credit and to maintain a good credit rating that way if you have any "emergency" you can use your credit if you don't have the money at hand.
