I move the parrot next to me and put on a candle so he can see me and not be afraid.

I always call the electric company right off the bat because the problem is often located just on my street or a couple streets around here and nobody else seems to call them about it. Almost always the electric company has power back on within a half hour or so.

Well that just depends on the time. If it is not real late, I will light candles or use a flashlight to read. If is is late I just call it a night and go to bed.

If I have to go from point A to Point B, the first thing I do is walk very slowly.  Then my husband goes out to the office, gets our big flash lights and then I'm able to speed up my pace of walk.

Then I enjoy the quiet down time.

We actually had the power go out last night just as the kids were coming off the bus.  We live just down the road from a teeny airport.  A pilot and student went down in a ditch just before a major highway.  After making a call to the electric company I was told it would be a couple of hours before power was restored.  I sat on the couch and fell asleep.  No more than maybe 20 minutes and voila it kicked back on.

Don't do much of anything because I have sleep apnea I can't sleep without my CPAP which requires electricity but thank goodness its been a very, very long time since it went out.

Let the power company know that the power is out, go back to sleep, and the power should be on by morning.

If there were a power outage, I would grab my laterns to make sure they were on and then I would read.

If it happens late I go to bed. If not, I light candles and read.

Fortunately this hasn't happened in a long time but when it does I usually just go to sleep.

I light a camp lantern and read. I've also given in and gone to bed so I can get enough sleep to get an early start the next day.

First I phone the electric company then if it's dark I light candles and try to read by flashlight or lantern.  If it's time to sleep I take a flashlight on the nightstand and go to bed.  I don't leave the candles lit if I'm going to bed.

I try to go to sleep.  If I can't sleep I will play games on the laptop until I can sleep.  I have tried reading...but it's just a pain without lights.
