He said he'd pull troops out of Iraq so they stop dying, AND THEN HE PUTS THEM IN AFGANISTAN WHERE THERE WERE MORE DEATHS THAN IN IRAQ! He has NO experience whatsoever in running this country, and he's just out for fame and fortune. In my opinion, his "Change" is messing up the economy, killing people, and throwing our money in the garbage. I don't want to start a fight, but that's EXACTLY what he did, it's facts, not opinions, so you wanna fight the facts, go to the press.

The difference being the war located in Afghanistan is actually a legitimate war, one we didn't start.  It is a legitimate defense of our nation.  The war in Iraq was an illegitimate war based on false intelligence, ignorance, and just plain stupid decision making.  There were more deaths in Afghanistan because the Bush Administration did all but completely ignore the Afghanistan front and created a massive imbalance of troop numbers, allowing the Taliban to continue gaining strength in Afghanistan while we're trying to set up ineffective governments in Iraq.

On the next note, you truly believe Obama single-handedly, in six months, destroyed the economy and brought it to its knees?  You truly believe that the process of our economy falling and the bubble bursting started in February?  Give me a break.  That's not even close to a fact and you know it.  That's nothing but an opinion, and frankly a blatantly false one, as any economist will tell you.

He killed people?  Where?  When?  How?  By actually going to the country where the foundation of the group that carried 9/11 out is located, rather than keeping them in Iraq to play political games?

Throwing money in the garbage?  Time will tell.

haha well seeing Obama fix Bush's mistakes has yet to be seen...Patriot Act still in full force, Bailouts still occurring.. Everything he says sounds good on paper, but its blind faith to believe its allgood with this president finally after all these years of bad president(s), until we see some real "change" then there is nothing but empty promises like everyone before him. As for the 100 days, that was Obama's idea to track the first 100 days wasnt it? There are some things like repealing the patriot act which could have been done immediately. Didnt he do that for the stem research? The fact remains, Obama can easily prove he wants change by following through with some of his ideas before he was elected, like withdrawing troops, legalizing marijuana etc. once the race started legalization dropped off the list and then slowly as elected and gaining poularity his stance on withdrawing troops got weaker and weaker until he sent MORE into afghanistan haha. Really I dont see a whole lot separating him from Bush or clinton... sure he has some better pros' but also cons like those before him. Bush had his pros and cons, mostly all cons...Obama has his pros and cons, mostly all cons. This is of course opinion, but I am basing my notion of "cons" on the "negative effects everyday Americans will face by policy". Socialism is what Obama is into mostly, and thats what some people like, but I personally think socialism is bad, and forcing BAD healthcare on people is not exactly a good thing... specially considering the number of people who die each year by hospital and doctor "mistakes" and thats not including overdoes/prescription problems.

I don't like Obama because he's black.  There.  I think that's what most people that don't like him are wanting to say.

You're probably incorrect.  Perhaps speaking for yourself is the best option.

I love President Obama, i voted for him and stand by my vote. I am middle class and not afraid to admit that. With former President Bush in office we were slowly starting to become the upper class and poverty and doing away with middle class. He got the United States in such a hole that it was going to take a great man to make things right. Which is the reason McCain and his Vice President Palin did not make the cut. President Obama has had such a mess to pick up that it is going to take time. The recession is over and the economy is slowly starting to recover. Also I wish people would stop he is not a U.S citizen give me a break. The birth certificate has been shown, No it is not "made up" so get over it.

I chose not to vote this year because I was unable to pick which side to vote on. I am a Democrat, but some of the things that Obama agreed with, I did not. Same goes for McCain. I guess there is different ways we could all look at it. Every president has their flaws--most say they will do something, but then do not, thats how it goes with every election. For Example, from an oppositional viewpoint, if we were to pull all the troops out of Iraq, when the country is not even ready to stand for itself yet, that would cause chaos, panic and pandemonium, and would potentially put the US more at risk for another terrorist attack. Now add to that the fact that war, yes, WAR changes a person's mind mentally. All of these troops would need to be counciled because they would more than likely suffer from PTSD, not to mention how many would have to deal with how they killed someone. And How do I know this? Because I served in the Army National Guard as a 31 Bravo and served a 6 month deployment overseas. I was recently medically discharged because mentally, I'm incapable of doing my job. Add to that where would these Vets end up going? I can not tell you how many Vets I've seen on the streets begging for money, and living in homeless shelters, and the government refuses to help them after they have served and defended their country. McCain was for keeping all the illegal immigrants here in the US, and in some ways, I agree, but in most ways I don't agree with this. Illegal immigrants get assistance without having to "proove" why they need it, they get free health care, and get to use all the benefits of getting a job, and us American's unfortunately get the backhand of this. The other day, there was a guy hiring and I asked him if he would hire me and his answer was no, I asked why, and he pointed to the Mexicans and said "because I can get 3 of them for the price I'd pay you for" and to me, as an American who is struggling, something like that is not tolerable. I applied for Cash Assistance, Food Stamps and Medicaid because I can't afford insurance, I can barely pay my rent, as I just gave birth last month to my daughter and my hubby got his hours cut, and the DCF office told us we didn't qualify because apparently $250 a month is enough to live off of, but you bet your bottom dollar that if we were any other race, or an illegal immigrant we would qualify.

Now as to my opinion for Barack Obama, I agree with some of his points as stated above, but also disagree with some. Obama wants to make health care universal, and accessible for all Americans. While I think that every American should get access to health care and shouldn't be refused to be seen if they have pre-existing health conditions, or can't afford health insurance, I disagree firmly with the idea of making health care universal, and the reason why is because A. that would take jobs out for any EMT because they would need to cut the funding for ambulances to pay for everyone having health care. B. higher taxes, Canadians have to pay a large amount of taxes per year to pay for the health care they get, if I can barely afford to live now, why would I want higher taxes? C. Medicaid/Medicare cut, I disagree with this, because these are programs through the Government that give people on SSI/SSDI and low income health insurance. They should not touch an existing health plan for anyone, instead Obama should re-evaluate health insurance companies and why they decline individuals who are obese, or have pre-existing conditions and then rule them out for a plan such as medicare and medicaid. Obama also has been trying to pick the economy back up, and what ever he is doing is working slowly but surly, and the proof I have here is the fact that there are more jobs becoming available to individuals, and even though the economy is still faltering and people are still loosing jobs, they still have the chance to get another. The economy has always been a problem on an up and down pattern like a roller coaster, and Obama may never be able to 100% fix this, but he is doing a good job at what he can do.

These are some of my viewpoints...

I would respond to the rest, but I cant stop laughing after that comment :P The recession over? From what I see companies are still having layoffs, and bailouts are still only benefitting the few large companies...

Well if you think about it it's Congress that passes all of the laws and can overrule the president so it's not really Obama.

I really don't think Obama cares about the venom being spewed out here.  He is doing a great job (just my opinion).

It's not an easy task to override a veto.  It requires 2/3 of both Congress and the House.

At the moment I don't think Obama is doing his best. He wants to take one of my rights away. I home school my children through a charter school, other families do it on their own. The UN is pushing a treaty called the rights of the child, which in essence gives our government the right to raise my child the way they see fit and I don't have a choice. My children's wishes would be over what I know would be best for them. Not that I disregard what my children want and or need in any way. But I want the right to say no if I need to in their best interest or even the interest of our family as a whole.

And while in the starting of the 6 month of business for Obama, I realize he inherited problems I didn't expect miracles to happen. And it's seriously silly to think that any politician is honest, including Obama.

zoocrewmom, i believe you are correct, obama is not for the people, you should raise your children anyway you would like, and no one should take that right away from you as a parent.
